Bluetti AC300 + B300K2 — smell of burnt rubber, like wiring

Hello @BLUETTI_CARE . Please advise. As a replacement for my Bluetti Elite 100 v2, I decided to buy a more powerful device and purchased the Bluetti AC300 + B300K2.

For the second day, there has been a chemical smell coming from the inverter fan vents, like wiring or burnt rubber.

The smell does not get stronger, but it also does not decrease. Please tell me, is this normal? Charging was done at 10 amps = 2200 watts.

Thank you in advance for your reply!

I had a similar problem with the same equipment as you. I thought the smell was coming from inside, but later discovered I was using a faulty electrical outlet.

Please respond. I have also sent the documents confirming the purchase to the email service@

Thank you for your inquiry. I would like to reassure you that the internal inverter coil insulation paint, component housing plastic, and wire sheathing of the new unit are all made from brand new materials. It’s normal for the unit to generate slight heat during high-load operation at 2200W. These organic materials may have a minor volatilization which produces some odor; this is a typical phenomenon when the device is first used and is referred to as “initial heat volatilization.”

As long as there is no noticeable burnt smell, smoke, or alarm from the device, there’s nothing to worry about. The smell will gradually fade over time.

If you have any further concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
