Bluetti ac200pl noise (buzz) problem

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE, i have bluetti AC200PL, when I turn on the AC button without a load, my bluetti makes a noise like a cricket or an electrical short circuit. If I turn on a load of up to 180-200 watts, this noise continues. If the load is more than 200 watts, the noise disappears.
Also, if you start charging the station, this noise disappears and it works very quietly.
I have encountered this problem with several other people, my question is, is this normal and happens at all stations, or is it a problem with a specific series of products?
Here is a link to how my station works.

Hi @Jeka, please rest assured, we believe the noise you mentioned is normal.
The “buzzing” sound you hear comes from the inverter’s “hiccup mode”, which is designed to reduce power consumption. When the inverter detects that there is no load on the output, it enters a hysteresis control cycle—switching intermittently between standby and active states to save energy.

During this process, when the inverter switches from standby to active mode to maintain output, the current changes rapidly. This sudden current fluctuation causes a slight sound inside the components. Some people can hear it, while others may not.

We also found that the sound is inaudible from the front but can be heard faintly from the side near the air vent. It fades away within about half a meter, which is fully within our product design standards and has no impact on normal operation.

In summary:

  1. The purpose is to reduce power consumption.
  2. The method used is “hiccup mode,” meaning intermittent internal operation.
  3. The intermittent operation causes sudden current changes, which make internal components produce sound.

Thank you @BLUETTI_CARE for your reply, but unfortunately I can hear this noise throughout the entire room, even with the TV on. It’s not just me who hears it, but other members of my family as well, It is very uncomfortable to hear high frequency noise. It’s likely that my Bluetti unit is noisier than others.
At least a few other users are having the same problem… For the rest, it’s complete silence…
Perhaps you could solve this problem by updating it so that, for example, the inverter doesn’t switch to economy mode or something like that?

Hi @Jeka, We don’t consider this noise to be loud. However, if you need it, we can also push the latest firmware to you.
Please provide us with the SN code of your AC200PL and your current firmware version, and we will arrange this for you.

Thank you @BLUETTI_CARE
Perhaps this noise is not audible on the video as it is in real life, unfortunately it is quite annoying not only for me but also for my wife, I would be very grateful if you could fix this problem

Hi @Jeka, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
We have checked and confirmed that all your firmware is already up-to-date, so we cannot push any other new firmware.
To our knowledge, the AC200PL already has a relatively low noise level among large-sized models. If you still consider the noise to be too loud, we suggest placing it in a well-ventilated area away from the bedroom—this will help minimize the impact of the noise as much as possible.

Dear @BLUETTI_CARE i understand you, but most users do not have this problem, I asked about 10 different owners of this model to check for themselves, and only 2 people had this noise too, it turned out that they bought them in 2025.
Perhaps the reason is some of the low-quality components they’ve started installing.
Even my old AC180P is very quiet.
I think it’s due to the varying quality of the components, as most owners don’t have this short-circuiting noise.
I bought the AC200pl knowing that it was very quiet, but it turned out that it was difficult to be in the same room with the station because of the crackling sound(((

Hi @Jeka, We fully understand how you feel, but we have indeed forwarded the video to the technical engineers. They believe the noise is within a reasonable range and is a normal phenomenon. Unfortunately, we were unable to assist you further in this regard.
Everyone’s subjective perception of noise varies, but as long as the noise level is within the normal range, there is no issue with the unit.

@BLUETTI_CARE I have another question, do all AC200PL make this inverter noise or are only some lucky ones?))

Dear @BLUETTI_CARE you said I have the latest updates installed, but my friend has updates available, which I don’t.
Iot: v9041.10
ARM: v2140.70
(I have v2140.05)
DSP: v2130.70
(I have v2130.13)
BMS: v1065.02
(i have v1056.03)
Could you send me the latest updates for my AC200pl?
Thank you

Hi @Jeka, Thank you for the update. We believe this type of noise is common; the only difference lies in each user’s personal perception of noise.
Your firmware is indeed up to date. Your friend’s firmware is a separate push version designed to fix specific issues. We have discussed this matter with the engineers, and they believe you do not need to upgrade to these beta firmware versions—as they will not be helpful for your AC200PL.
I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.

Hi @Jeka, We take the issue you raised very seriously. After our technical department held a new round of meetings to conduct further analysis on this matter, we have decided to replace a unit for you and have the original one returned for analysis.
Please click on my profile picture and contact me via private message. Kindly provide your order number and email address so that we can follow up on this matter.

Dear @BLUETTI_CARE
I’ve noticed that some users have later firmware versions, like my friend. You said he had a special firmware update to fix the issues, but he never had any problems; he had the update available out of the box.
When I bought my station, there were no available updates… and my firmware versions are older than most users’…
SN: AC200PL2511000111966
Iot: v9041.10
ARM: v2140.05
DSP: v2130.13
BMS: v1056.03
I know that everyone who buys a station always has an update available… That was the case with my AC180p…
But with this station, it’s as if someone else updated it before me…
Could you look into this issue?
Thank you.

This is very interesting, my firmware is the same as yours, but if your friends is different to yours and the firmware in your instance is not region specific, and your friend did not have any particular issue that required a special push of firmware then what is differencing these firmware’s.

@BLUETTI_CARE How do people know if they are on a special or on the main branch of firmware and do individual firmware for specific issues get new/improved features added?

@BLUETTI_CARE really need to provide update logs which list the improvements/changes of each firmware.

Hi @Jeka, we want to confirm whether you have correctly registered and bound this device to your Bluetti app.
If you have, you should normally receive the latest firmware.
However, we have also applied to push the latest firmware to your device. Please perform the upgrade tomorrow—we hope this works.

Hi @Teece, We frequently release new special firmware, which is developed based on customer needs. This information is indeed quite complex, and we currently have no plans to make the update logs available to customers.

Thank you for your suggestion. Under normal circumstances, first of all, the same model may have different firmware versions based on high voltage and low voltage in different regions. In addition, even for models in the same region, there are different firmware versions due to different batches of chips.

If a customer upgrades to the latest firmware via the app without contacting us first, this is a mass-pushed firmware. When a customer encounters an issue, contacts us, and we push the firmware to them individually, this is a special firmware. Sometimes, if a special firmware fails to fix the problem, we will develop an advanced version of the special firmware again.

We believe that the name of the firmware version is not important, and there is no need for customers to understand all firmware versions. The key is to ensure that the problem is resolved.

As long as you tell us about the issue you are encountering, we will find a valid new firmware on our own and complete the push.

I for one actually really do appreciate your approach to individual problems, circumstances or issues hence why I would recommend the brand.
However I just believe it would be nice to know what enhancements, downgrades or issues may have been solved by any new firmware, this is an industry standard for a lot of brands.
