My bluetti ac 180 is tripping out during ac charging from my RV onan 4000w generator due to noise spikes from the generator. I assume . Display indicates that bluetti goes from 100-500- 1100 watts in a cyclic fashion and bluetti trips out from noise or spikes from generator. Bluetti will not charge. Need firmware to address noise from generator. is this possible to adjust software limits?
Hi @bongo77, We consider that your generator’s voltage instability is causing issues with charging the AC180. We can try upgrading the new firmware to optimize charging performance, but we can’t guarantee that this will resolve the issue, as it mainly depends on the generator’s performance.
If you need assistance with this, please provide the SN code of your AC180 and the current DSP version number. Additionally, could you let us know which country version your machine is?
SERIAL NUM. AC1802334002133556
DSP V2077.06> V2077.07
I have tried the silent mode and enabled grid enhancement but still trips out.
QUESTION FOR SUPPORT– CAN I CHARGE THE BLUETTI AC180 WITH THE BLUETTI DC Charging Enhancer D050S 500W unit connected to my RV Lead acid batteries with either the clips or the ring terminals for input to the D050S charge enhancer.
SERIAL NUM. AC1802334002133556
DSP V2077.06> V2077.07
I have tried the silent mode and enabled grid enhancement but still trips out.
Hi @bongo77, Since you have received DSP v2077.07, could you please click on this new firmware and proceed with the upgrade? After upgrading, please go to the Advanced Settings in the app and select Grid-self adaption. This should resolve the issue.
Try this: I have had issues charging using a onan 4000 RV generator, the solution for me was adding a load to the generator first, like running a 1500 watt electric heater. This stabilizes the voltage and cycles on the generator output.
Agree, because a lite load on my invertor helped me prevent the invertor from tripping when i plugged my Bluetti in for a charge. I could not understand why my Bluetti would make the invertor trip. I thought my Bluetti was causing a surge when i plugged it into the invertor. It went into a dead fault status trip. The fix was to run a load on the invertor before plugging the Bluetti in for topping up.
