My Bluetti 100v2 does not show an output when I’m charging items. And the APP doesn’t show an Output as well.
I charged it in to another power station where the power station being charged shows the input. But the Bluetti 100v2 shows no power output and neither does the app. But fans work.
It looks like Bluetti is having problems with proper power readings and even entire power stations stop working. I wonder if its a software/firmware issues.
@Roguer - There is a difference between what you term “proper power readings” and no power readings.
No power readings, could be a software or hardware problem and in some instances, the device being powered.
As I have noted in other posts, there is a difference between the power a device draws and the power provided. This is minimal when powered from the grid.
However, when power is inverted from a battery, there are parasitic and efficiency losses. In rounded figures as an example, if I run a 1,000W electric kettle from the grid it pulls 1,000W. When running it from a power station and with an external power meter connected to the outlet, the kettle still draws 1,000W. But the display of the power station shows a load of 1,050W. This 1,050W is the power drawn from the power station battery to provide the 1,000W, the kettle is using. It is not wrong to show this, as it is a more accurate indication of battery load. This is better to then calculate Wh run time of battery capacity.
I have 8 Bluetti power stations all work as advertised and other than a pre production model Elite 100 v2, all purchased by me. I had issues with the test 100 v2, during initial testing. I notified Bluetti Care and a Firmware update was pushed to me on each occasion an issue was raised. The point of testing a new product is to discover such issues and the fix was prompt and fixed the issue. Since then, it has worked flawlessly.
The one thing I find missing on this Forum is a “Front Page” instruction to participants experiencing problems, to direct such issues to Bluetti. That is, to start your post with “@BLUETTI_CARE OR @BLUETTI _admin”. (In the post text, not the title) Doing this will Tag the post for their attention. The first will tag problems and Warranty, the second is Forum Admin. (I’ll stand corrected if wrong, lol.) I’ve informed many users during my time on this forum, so as a suggestion, noting this on the front page, would be advantageous.
Well as I stated, there is no power output what so ever on my 100 v2. I’m not talking about parasitic idle or the power and energy losses during discharging.
My 100 v2 Has NO output reading on the 100 V2, even in the APP. The power station I was charging was showing the input of about 600 watts what I set the charge setting I set for that power station. While there was no Output reading on the 100 v2, but it showed the output being used on the APP just no wattage. Like when using a low charging device some time.
I ran the batteries down to zero and slowly charging to 100% to see if its a BMS problem and this will resolve it. Like a reboot so to say. The fans are running and the 100 v2 seems to be working fine. It would be nice if the Bluetti APP would give more details like internal temperature and such.
I was just asking if any one had any ideas. The not showing any out put numbers on the Power Station or the APP seems odd to me.
@Mandp Thanks for your advice though. I’ll see if this works first before I start flagging things around.
I had another power station that went from 100% to 01% when I plugged it in and then would do a slow charge with out showing any numbers till it showed it stopped charging. It showed a time remaining. Bot zero voltz fpr the AC. But once charged to 100% I dropped to 0%, charged it up and it showed a normal charging and worked after fine after that.
Running the 100 v2 to zero, then charging to 100% should recalibrate the BMS. This should also be done with nothing plugged in to any outlet and with DC and AC switches in the Off condition and preferably from grid charging.
If after this with any charging disconnected and with a known AC load, i.e. a 2 slice toater or small sandwich press, around the 700W range, or at least something that draws 100W or more, do you get a load Watts reading on the display and or App? If not, and after doing a recalibration and Firmware update check, I would suggest some kind of fault that may need repair. Given, the recent release of this model, it will be under warranty.
It seems to work and shows the power out put now. On the 100 v2 and the app.
All the firm ware showed to be up to date on the App. It showed input, just not any out put while putting out power. My other Power Station I drained it with showed the power in put it was getting.
I recharged it and then it to 100% then it seems to work fine now, or it now shows the power output.
Hi @Roguer, We care deeply about the issue you raised.
Could you please let us know the power of your load? Please note that the output power will not be displayed if the load power is too low. This is because it is difficult to sample accurate current when the load is small, so we have set the system not to show the power for low-power loads.
Thank you for the update—it seems everything has returned to normal after a full charge. Is that correct? Please feel free to contact us if you encounter any further issues.
@Mandp’s response is extremely detailed and professional, which is very helpful. Meanwhile, we sincerely appreciate you sharing your usage and service experience.
@BLUETTI_CARE one was a 600 watt output from the 100 v2, then 400 watt output from the 100 v2. The output on the 100 v2 showed nothing on the screen out put or the APP. I was charging other power stations to get the output from the 100 v2. Once drained I did the slowest charge to 100% it started showing the output on the screen and the APP of the 100 v2.
Hi @Roguer, thank you for your update.
It seems that it has been resolved after being fully charged. Is that so?
Can you tell us the SN number and the current firmware version of your Elite 100 V2? We will check if there is any new firmware that can be pushed.
Hi @Roguer, thank you for letting us know.
Now I have applied to upgrade your system to our IT department. If the new firmware is available, they will complete the push within 24 hours.
Please upgrade the firmware tomorrow. Please do not load any device when upgrading it.
Please let us know if it works.
