I have ordered the new AC500 and B300S batteries so need more charging power. I did order a couple of the new PV400 but also looking at some other more waterproof panels that can be easily stored as I will obviously need quite a bit of capacity to charge 12KWH of battery and on a watt per cost basis the PV400 are not cheap and not waterproof. I was thinking of something like these Bouge ones. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good solar panel that is easy to store?
I, too, would like to obtain waterproof panels, that are not foldable, and have a warranty period of (a lot) more than 12 months. And, of course, hear of problems experienced, such as not having the correct accessories to connect the panels to the battery.
The Bouge panels look like a decent option, especially if waterproofing and storage are your main priorities. As long as the voltage/current stays within the AC500 input limits, third-party panels work fine. Personally, I’d go for rigid or semi-rigid waterproof panels over foldables if you want better durability and value long term.
