I’ve been researching portable power stations for a while now and got a bit confused choosing between the Bluetti AC200MAX and the AC300. I went through multiple threads, reviews, and specs sheets, so I thought I’d share what I found in simple words. Maybe it helps someone else too.
First thing, both are solid options but they are made for slightly different users.
The AC200MAX feels more like an all-in-one unit. It already has a built-in battery (around 2048Wh), so you can just buy it and start using right away. No extra setup needed. That’s something I personally liked because I don’t want too much complexity. It also supports expansion batteries later, which is a nice bonus if you need more power in the future.
On the other hand, the AC300 is more like a modular system. Important thing: it does NOT come with a built-in battery. You have to connect it with B300 battery packs to make it work. At first I thought that’s a downside, but actually it gives more flexibility. You can scale your setup depending on your needs. But yeah, it also means higher cost and more space.
