My AC180’s function is for backup power during grid outages. Those happen a few times per year, but can last for a week.
I plan to have my AC180 running as a UPS for my modem, router, and a few other devices (around 40 Watts). So, the device will always have a state of charge around 99-100%.
I’m guessing that isn’t ideal for the LFP battery.
My question is how bad is it?
I could keep the unit around 50%, and charge it up when an outage is expected, but that’s not ideal for my needs.
To quantify it, the AC180 has a lifespan of 3,500 cycles. How many cycles would that be if I kept it always charged?
Thanks!
