So the newish B80 expanion battery… I look at it, and I think… WHY?
800wh battery, and it connects to the AC60 natively, through a cable that comes in the box, in fact you can connect two to the AC60 - it’s awesome!
So… Why is it, that the AC60 is the ONLY product that takes them natively?
Why isn’t there a socket for it on the AC180, the new AC70, or the new AC2A?
Why produce an expansion battery that only works with one product?
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to expand an AC180 with one (or two) B80’s…
But no, they cripple it, and make you trickle it’s contents at 200w into the other product, in power bank mode.
In my opinion it is because the AC60 is a more premium feature laden product and the AC70, AC180 and the AC2A are more basic low cost models. The connectivity and it’s monitoring and charging capability adds cost to the product. I assume their will be newer more feature rich models in the near future that allow for expansion batteries.
But have you ever bought Pinter ink… would be grade if you can add whatever ever you want.
But on the other side if you try to sell products. you want “new” and improved and not backwards compatible so customers need to buy new products and don’t just continue using old ones or second hand ones

Response from the product team based on your questions:
The cost of adding the functionality of an expansion battery pack to the AC180/AC70/AC2A will increase, which is not aligned with the current pricing.
If you're looking for a high-capacity power station with a battery pack option, keep an eye out for our newest product, the AC200L, which will be available soon.
