B300 battery won’t turn off

Hi, I have an AC300 with 2-B300 batteries. This morning my ac300 was off while the two batteries were on. The ac300 would not power on. I disconnected the solar input and all the battery connections to make sure that all connections were good. While everything was disconnected I noticed that one battery would not turn off when I manually tried to power it off. The other battery did turn off when I manually turned it off. I then plugged in the battery that powered off to the ac300 and turned it on and the ac300 powered on like it should. I then tried connecting the other battery that will not power off and immediately got the alarm to sound so I quickly unplugged the battery that won’t turn off. I have been using this system for about 3 weeks with no issues. The battery that won’t turn off is currently showing 60% charge. I have been researching this issue and I can’t find anything or anyone else that has had anything similar. I’ve emailed Bluetti support and I’m waiting for their response. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Do you have error codes on your ac300 ?

Hi @Wes, We believe this issue may be related to the connection cable of the B300. Could you try using a different cable and make sure it’s securely locked? Does that help?

Additionally, please refer to Snips1’s advice and check for the specific error code, as this will be very helpful for troubleshooting.

Lastly, please provide us with the SN number of your AC300 and the current firmware versions, so we can check if a new firmware update can resolve the issue.

Hi, I didn’t get any error codes just the alarm beeping for 3-4 seconds? I turned ac power off like I do every night and everything was normal, all three power buttons stayed illuminated. In the morning however the ac300 was off while the batteries remained on so something occurred in the night that shut down the ac300, I would think an error should’ve been given? Thanks for your response snips1, I’ll be watching the chat for any other thoughts or ideas.
As far as the battery cable connection issue, I unlocked all 4 battery connections and removed all 4 battery connections ends completely. Then I attempted to turn both batteries off and that’s when I realized that one would not power off when completely disconnected from everything. To me that seems to be the red flag, shouldn’t the battery power off when you manually power it off when it’s completely isolated and disconnected from everything? Then I grab one of the two battery cables and start with the battery that is off and securely connect and lock each connection with care. I power the battery on and the ac300 powers on. Then I go to the other battery that won’t turn off, same secure connections locked and get an instant alarm. I would love it if it was a connection or cable issue but it seems like the not powering off needs to be addressed first because I’m afraid to start swapping cables and risk damaging the ac300 when the battery has a clear issue? In one of the many BLUETTI chats I read of a different battery issue but one of the three troubleshooting steps from BLUETTI was to make sure that the battery powered on and off as it should. BLUETTI, I’m willing to try anything with your permission and backing. We live off grid in the mountains and this is our only source of power besides a generator and our little BLUETTI EB70s. I will get you the information you asked for and anything else you need from me, thanks for your response and help!

Hi BLUETTI, where would you like me to send the serial number and firmware information? Thanks

I’m afraid it’s a hardware failure.

When you plugged in the battery that powered off to the ac300 and turned it on and the ac300 powered on like it should… I guess you pressed the bell (alarm) icon on your ac300 screen, bottom right to see the error history? This will be useful for Bluetti to confirm the problem if you see some error codes.

Have you also tried a very long press on the power button on your faulty B300 to put it off?
On your faulty B300, can you press the dc button to put it on, and see if it works?

Hi, yes I checked to see if there were any error codes in the alarm history and there were no current errors recorded. The last error that is shown was on 10/29/24. I have 3 error codes total in the alarm history. The first one occurred on 10/26/24 which I was aware of as it sounded the alarm and logged 01 023 in the alarm history, and upon checking the manual it was inverter overload protection was activated… We were on one of the 20 amp outlets and must have turned on one too many appliances momentarily. I rebooted the system and reminded my wife and son and everything was good to go, The other two codes were recorded it says, 10/29/24 15:59:57 and 15:59:59. The first 01 001 and the second 00 001, the manual says D-AMCU warning and it says contact the dealer if the issue persists after rebooting. I didn’t know of these last two error codes until the morning of the current issue on 11/18/24 when I checked the alarm history hoping to find a clue?? Yes I’ve tried several 5-10 second pushes, 3 second and quick pushes with no luck. Yes the dc button will turn on. Do you think I should discharge completely and see what happens if/when I can bring it back to life?? Will that decrease the life of the battery? I’m a little leery of this battery now, less than a month of use and the power switch has failed and mysteriously shut down my ac300?? I think I have a bad battery? Thanks again for responding and trying to help, I appreciate it!
