B230 or B300 with AC200max?

As we start to move into Winter, although it still remains quite sunny here, my AC200max is struggling to provide the kwhrs I need, so I’m contemplating investing in a b230 or b300.

Before doing so I had a couple of questions for anyone who has experience of using these expansion batteries:

1)as they don’t have the 2000w inverter like the ac200max, is the advertised capacity what you actually get or are there significant losses?

2)are both the b230 and b300 equally compatible with the ac200max?

3)maybe a silly question, but I assume I would simply plug the expansion battery into the ac200max and it would then charge through the ac200max connection to the solar panels

4)there aren’t any restrictions on output as it is simply an expansion battery to the ac200max

  1. AC200MAX is compatible with both B230/B300, and the total capacity of the module will be displayed on the app when connected.
  2. Expandable up to 6,144Wh with 2×B230, or 8,192Wh with 2×B300
  3. Yes
  4. After connection, refer to the output parameters of AC200MAX.
