APP cold start Elite 100v2 and idle power

Reviews have stated that the app cannot cold start the 100v2 if it is off. Is this still true? It appears the app has received new features that were not reviewed. Where can I find an up to date app review? Is it now competitive with the Ecoflow Anker and Jackery apps?

The 200 is given high marks for having very low inverter idle power draw (<10w). Is it true the 200 is significantly more power efficient than the 100v2?

For a power station to “cold start” it needs the Bluetooth and or WiFi to still be active when it is turned off. This is not something I found to be the case when testing the Elite 100 and it would bleed a small amount of power when in storage.

I do have a small Starlink power bank that does have this feature, however to actually turn the unit off requires a 10 second long press to deactivate this feature for storage. To restart it then needs it to be “kick started” by plugging in a second power source via its USB-C PD charging port to wake it up. Turning output power off without deactivating Bluetooth, will see it drain to zero over time.

If Bluetti have changed this functionality, I am not aware, please Tag your Q to @BLUETTI_CARE for an offficial response. (edit your Q with this tag at the begining of your Q)

Although I did not test idle consumption, others have rated it at approx 16W inverter on and DC lower at around 10W. Comparing it to the Elite 200, is like comparing Apples to Oranges as the battery capacity v inverter size ratios are different and this will have an effect.

Hi @tr0910, thank you for your attention to BLUETTI.
Yes, @Mandp’s explanation is correct. A stable WiFi connection must be maintained in Sleep Mode to enable remote power-on functionality.

We’ve inquired with the technical department about this matter, and they informed us that there are no current plans for Elite 100 V2.

The reason is that the power consumption of Sleep mode is still relatively high at 5-6W/h. Currently, this feature is only added to new models with a capacity of 2kWh or more. For small models, their inherent smaller capacity would make this feature a burden, so there are no plans to implement it for now.

However, we’ve been working hard to optimize the power consumption of Sleep mode. If we succeed in reducing it in the future, we will add this feature to other new small models.

@Mandp @BLUETTI_CARE Thank you for the clarification.

I don’t find sleep mode in the manual. Is this activated when all outputs are turned off but the device is still powered on? Are USB ports still active in this mode?

What is the idle power draw when the device is totally powered off, not just in sleep mode? Would this be BMS power draw only?

There is No sleep mode for the Elite 100 v2.

The small Starlink power bank I refer to above is the Peakdo 99Wh that fits onto the Mini Dish. When I turn it off I do a complete shutdown due to the small capacity Wh. I normally run the Starlink from an AC70, sometimes the Elite 100. When I turn them off remotely via Bluetooth, I need to physically turn either PS back on. I only use the Peakdo, when away from other power sources as its max runtime is < 4 hours.

As Bluetti Care noted, this function is not on smaller capacity power stations, to prevent them going flat when stored.

Hi @tr0910, Thank you for your continued attention to this matter.
As Mandp mentioned, we have not developed a Sleep Mode for smaller models, including the Elite 100 V2—and this is entirely to save power.
Moving forward, we may add this feature to smaller models once we have reduced the power consumption of the Sleep Mode itself.
