I’m trying to verify if the wiring on my 2 Apex300s is correct. When I connect a wiring check tool on my two AC300s (in 240v mode or 120v mode) I get open ground when 120v output is active on one or both AC300’s. With this condition, my Generlink Transfer switch works with both AC300s in 240v mode.
My Apex300s when in 240v mode I see the wiring check tool shows the 120v outlet as “Normal” just like an outlet on my house wall. Does this mean that the neutral is bonded at my panel as far as my house wall outlet is setup? As far the Apex300, I figured that it should show an open ground when no input 120v is present (just as my AC300 shows)
Hello, In an off-grid situation, the neutral line of the APEX300 is indeed floating, showing as an open circuit, similar to the AC300. This will only change if the neutral and ground lines are bonded at the output.
