Hey everyone!
Just rewatched the whole US Livestream and want to show some interesting things about the Apex300 that i notice. They only show the US Model, so the EU variant would be different as always.
The very first thing i was surprised about and is a huge change compared to AC300 or AC500… it does have a “built in” B300K or atleast a built in battery that have the exact same capacity like a B300K. We dont need any expansion battery anymore, if we dont want to. The Inverter also got a huge upgrade to up to 3480W.
As you may notice, the Apex 300 dont have any DC outputs. To still use DC devices without a AC Adapter, there is a detachable DC Hub (Hub D1) that can be connected to the battery expansion Port of the Apex 300. It offers 2x 12V/24V Outputs, 2x 100W USB-C and 2x USB-A Ports. The Hub is a extra accessory and need to be purchased beside the Apex300 itself
Next thing is something many of expansion battery users waiting for… 90 degree battery connectors. They are much smaller and kinda unnoticable right now. Looks a lot cleaner. Since the Apex300 use the same connectors as the B300 uses, would be great if we can use this connectors on our old units too!
The unit also offer varios other AC Input/Outputs. Since theese are US Plugs, i dont know how they called. Here is a picture of them:
Talking about inputs, the Apex300 offer a dual MPPT like AC300, AC500 or EP500Pro but with one major change. Instead of 2x 150V 10A on one plug, we now have two XT60 plugs where each of theese can support 60V 20A (1200W).
Just my opinion, but this is a step in a wrong direction. My setup is completly build on series connection. 60V basicly means, im limited to a single panel per input with the voltage and can add a second, when want to go paralell (when im not want to overpaneling). The 150V MPPT was a better choice.
Last but not least, we have a redesigned display and also some hardware buttons to change the output voltage (think thats US exclusive, EU will get a “Magic Button” for custom function) and the Charging modes. Good thing to not need to do this with the bluetti app. Its much faster to just flip the switch!
Hope you guys enjoy that little post

Have some great easter!
