There is a lot of discussion about the 60V solar input on YouTube. How do they manage up to 30KW solar input ( with 3 linked APEX300) ?
Additional „solar hub“ or new „voltage step down“ device?
I would like to add more solar panels to our off grid solution and don’t want cable spaghetti.
@Claus1
Thank you for your interest in the Apex300 launching in May!
Excellent question, and it mainly concerns safety regulations.
Voltages above 60V are classified as high voltage. In the voltage range below 60V, the likelihood of current passing through the human body is lower; even if contact with the circuit occurs, the resulting current is usually insufficient to cause fatal harm. This value is based on international standards (such as IEC 60364 and ISO 3864) for voltage safety limits.
The APEX300 supports a maximum PV input of 30kW when paired with a smart transfer switch and a rooftop photovoltaic micro-inverter system, along with solar panels connected through the interfaces on the unit, ultimately achieving a maximum power output.
Revealing too much would diminish the excitement, so please look forward to more updates in April.
Thank you for the information!
We live on Mallorca. When will APEX300 be available in Spain/EU?
