Bluetti is probally the worst ever company to do pre sales interaction with…probably because they have an AI engine that just re presents your question with general brochure features.
case in point…ask pre sales what would I need to take advantage of one of the main features the APEX 300 advertises i.e. the feature of charging off peak and discharging during peak which the product brochures even has annual savings cost savings based on the number of APEX 300’s and number of batteries…the question was asked to get a full list of what products need to be bought in terms of APEX 300’s, batteries, cables to each other, cables to your essential load sub panel, cables to the main sub panel and any in-between boxes…the answer provided by Bluetti…we dont support that feature…back and fourth in terms of re stating the question and pointing to the product latiture and the return on investment scenarios in the product litature …same answer…we dont support that feature.
Bluetti is overly complex and uses too many proprietary products that costs 10 to 100 times the industry standard.
case in point…lets compare a simular senerio with a competeing product and parts list it out.
AIMS 4000 inverter charger. connexts to the grid in pas thru mode and you can set it to battery priority…this allows running off the battery always and charging the battery from solar during the day and you can charge from the grid at night. what do you need to get it going. an AMS 4000, your batteries, standard wire from your main panel, standard wire to an essential loads panel, and an essential loads panel, thats it…no propritary cables and boxes that cost 100 to 700 dollars. AIMS provides the schematics and circut lay out in their owners manual.
to this day after many emails to the bluetti AI pre sales support I still dont know the parts break down and schematic lay out and cost of what it would take to get the charge off peak and discharge during peak benifet bluetti advertises as a primary benifet and for the life of me cant figure out how their AI email response system is fed information…not to mention all the potential sales lost.
it seems to be that bluetti home backup products are really targeted to the installer and bluetti really doenst want the consumer to install this system themself.
aside from all the gremlins the APEX 300 seems to have.
I think I am giving up…Ill buy an AIMS 6000 to AIMS 10000 to replace my AIMS 4000 and just use 3 wires from my main panel and 3 wires to my essential\loads panel arranged exactly like the schematics and parts list in the AIMS 6000 or AIMS 10000 manual. add batteries , and go from there.
get it together Bluetti and have some humans answer your customer pre sales emails.
