WOW, I was going to buy an APEX 300 system and started doing my usual research and was surprised to find these systems have some common issues out of the box which seems to stem from long term presale warehousing resulting in units arriving at 0% state of charge. solution is you ship it back and get another one. so far I have seen folks get two or more units before one shows up that works. I guess there is no real solution to this…problem is…who wants to invest in a system like this that gets drop shipped from a warehouse and shows up dead. Im really disappointed because like I said I wanted to get this system…but…have high expectations for a fresh unit that arrives at the correct “storage” state of charge.
one fellow took his defective unit apart and used a programable charger directly on the battery and was able to charge the battery partially…he put it back together and it woke up…scary . another guy replaced the main board.
I guess I assumed I was goinb to buy one and get a fresh one that ships with the correct SOC before I got it.
I think BlueTTI needs to incorporate and emergency direct to battery port that folks can use to do a recorvery charge so that the units can wake up.
definite keeping an eye on this.
