Hey there,
I have an Apex 300 without an add-on battery
I am using the 30a TT-30 accessory cable
I have the switch set for 120/240.
I have an intermittent 240v 500-1500w load connected to the 50a plug.
I have a fairly consistent 450-600w load connected to the left side 120v plugs.
I have the max grid input current set to 20a.
I have the charging mode set to custom with max grid input current set @ 20a
The SOC is under 90%
Firmware is latest
The grid input hangs out around 1920w (16a @ 120v) when the load is around 600w or less.
If the load goes up significantly, like when my 240v mini-split turns on I run something bigger on the 120v side, the grid input will go up as seen on the Apex 300 display.
I have recorded the following data points
Input 1920w @ 630w load
Input 1950w @ 750w load
Input 2170w @ 1280w load
Input 2300w @ 1600w load
I would expect based on my understanding of the settings that the grid input would always be maxed at 20a (2400w) regardless of load, if charging. But it is not.
Why am I limited to 16a grid input with low loads?
Thanks!
