APEX 300 and Charger 1 Operating Temps

Hi Team,

Only new to the community so just feeling my way around.

We have just received a Bluetti Apex 300 with the Charger 1. It is going to go into our tow vehicle but am now having second thoughts on it… Reason being is that the operating temp range is 32°F to 104°F / 0°C to 40°C.

So this unit is going to be going into a black canopy on the back of a landcruiser, in Western Australia. We like to go remote and it does get pretty hot during summer. Easily over 40C.

So curious what are/have other users experiences?

This was the sole purpose of this product and we bought it after watching an Aussie family using one… but not as their vehicle power system…

Thoughts…

Welcome to the community! Regarding the Bluetti Apex 300 you mentioned, it will indeed report an error and cannot charge if it exceeds the operating temperature range. Therefore, I recommend placing it in an air-conditioned area. Keeping the AC on while driving can effectively prevent the temperature from getting too high.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out.

Unfortunately there is no air con in the canopy.

Perhaps you could place the device in an air-conditioned area? Overheating can cause errors and prevent charging.
