After connecting Ac200MAx to furnace it power on the igniter/ everything else works

I connected my AC200MAx to my Trane v95 gas furnace using a pigtail. This allows you to have a receptical attached to the side of the furnace, which you then take the power wires and connect them to this Pig tale plug receptical. So either you plug the furnace into this receptical using power from the grid (which when I use this everything works perfect ), but when I then unplug from the pig tale receptical (hydro grid) and then plug the furnace directly into the battery everything seems to work fine except there is no heat. It sounds like the igniter wants to start but it wont I am not sure if it is a voltage power problem or something else.
I also have the AC200Max hooked up with my B300 battery.
Any ideas.

I had a similar problem trying to power the furnace with my AC200MAX. It turned out to be the Nest thermostat that didn’t like an ungrounded power supply. Adding a Ground/Neutral bonding plug to the AC200MAX solved the problem. I tried using an older, simpler thermostat and it worked fine without the bonding plug. So either get a simpler thermostat or a bonding plug.

I just looked up info on the bonding plug, I wasn’t aware that this battery needed extra grounding.
My insurance company insisted that I use a certified electrician to install the PigTale, and after we hooked everything up but got no heat they didn’t know what the problem was and insisted it is now a furnace technician problem. So tomorrow, my furnace guy is coming over. I somehow doubt he is going to understand any of this.
So now I am concerned it may damage my equipment (battery or furnace) if I connect it again before I try one of these plugs, and wonder if I should cancel the technician get the plug and try that first.

Hey Flintoid49. Is this the type of plug you were talking about
Power Watchdog Hughes Autoformers Ground Neutral Plug I saw it on Amazon.
It says it is a Ground neutral bonding plug for generators with floating neutrals. This will solve a missing ground/neutral problem with EPO/EMS units and generators.
It seems like an inexpensive fix.If this is what you are talking about.

@Liberty
Does it work fine with other devices besides the furnace? Are there any fault codes reported in the history? Could you provide me with the specifications of the furnace?

My battery works fine powering my fridges tv’s computers etc, and it starts up the furnace, but the flame igniter won’t fire up while connected to the battery. I haven’t had any fault codes or any notable issues on the battery now or ever.
The furnace is a TRANE XV95, power requirements 115 V/ PH 1 /60 Hz / amps 11.1 overcurrent 15Amps my batteries setup is to run 60hz and 120V
When the furnace was starting up the power requirements never exceeded about 375w, you could hear the fan starting but the combustion exhaust fan won’t start therefore the ignition wont start.
Does that help

Your furnace has indicator lights on it, right? Can you check what the error message is indicating?

Ok, I wasn’t aware of checking this area. There are no code numbers, but there is a green light that blinks about once a second and after around 35 blinks 1 red blink appears and it starts over.
I don’t know what that means.
Otherwise, everything seems ok. I haven’t taken any further steps towards rectifying the problem yet, but I am considering trying the "a ground neutral bonding plug ".

Yep, that’s it. A whole bunch cheaper than hiring an electrician.

Thanks for getting back to me. It is going to be about another week before I can try out the new plug. Im currently in God’s country for about a week. Taking a well deserved break from the race.

Hello again, I saw you on my other post and I remembered I hadn’t got back to you about my furnace situation.
I just ordered that type of plug you were talking about

I should be receiving it this week sometime, and I will try it then and let you know how it went.

Hello Flintoid49: Just to let you know I finally got the product that you recommended, and I have now tried it out with the furnace, and I am pleased to say I have Heat Now!
Thanks

Excellent! Glad to hear it.
