I’ve been a Bluetti owner since the DC200P was released. Over the Labor Day holiday I didn’t bother to “due diligence” as I usually do about a new product when I purchased an AC500 w/2 B300K’s. When I went to start backfilling extra parts I find that there is very little description on the PV Charging Cord necessary to connect solar panels to the unit. There is no listing for the cable in the accessory area for the AC500. I did find one for the AC300. Can I assume that they are the same?
The AC300 PV charging/multi-purpose cord is backordered. The P90-150 cord is backordered showing expected availability for early September. That’s now.
It’s a bit scary to invest $3K with part availability an issue at the onset.
Also, why are Bluetti solar panels IP65 and not IP68. I live in Florida. I would like to not worry about rain.
@spkrmakr We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
The connection cables P090D-P150D are out of stock and will not arrive until mid-September. The AC500+B300K combination you purchased includes these two connection cables, right?
If it has not been shipped by September 15th, please contact pre-sales support at sale@bluettipower.com for inquiries.
Regarding the protection level of the solar panels, this has been defined by the R&D department before leaving the factory. You can also choose solar panels from other brands with a higher protection level, as long as the interface is MC4, they will be compatible with our machines.
Thank you for the reply. I’m unclear how many P090D-P150D cords are included in the package that I purchased. I believe that each of the B300K batteries include a P090D cord. What about the PV charging cable? Is there a part number for this item and how can I purchase an extra? The images of the cable show MC4 connectors on one end by there is no mention of the name or type of connector on the other end. Thank you again.
2nd request, please reply. Is there a part number or a way to order an “extra” PV charging cable? I found an MC-12, 4-pin connector and can make my own cable if you confirm that the PV charging cable interface to the AC500 will indeed work with an MC-12, 4-pin connector.
Any updates on the availability of the P090D-P150D cables? My AC500 and (2) B300K’s arrived and I would like to be able to confirm function as soon as possible.
@spkrmakr
The specifications of the PV charging cable depend more on your solar panels. As long as one end has an MC4 connector, it can connect to BLUETTI machine.
One B300K comes with one connecting cable. Currently, this cable is not in stock yet, so you might need to email pre-sales support to get an estimated date.
Hello and thank you for trying to respond. My question did not involve MC4 connectors. My question involved the “other end” of the PV charging cable. I am looking to hopefully purchase or if necessary “build” an additional or “back up” PV charging cable for my new AC500. My question was whether or not the PV charging cable uses an M12, 4-pin, male, screw down, aviation connector on the opposite end from the MC4 connectors. If the "multipurpose PV charging cable for the AC300 is the same one that is issued with the AC500 then I will wait until they are back in stock and purchase one. Is the PV charging cable the same for both AC300 and AC500 machines?
