There a number of threads on this topic and AC70 is mentioned, none is specific to AC70, so I’ll post it here.
We need to have the AC70 restore the previous AC/DC output state when power is restored for it to be useful as the UPS as described on the marketing material. Currently, even if the AC / DC output is on, if grid fails and the AC70 runs out of power and turns off, the AC / DC output will not turn back on automatically when grid power is restored. This makes it unusable as a UPS, as it can be worst than nothing at all when using it to back a fridge or freezer.
I’ve seen a number of mentions on a “memory” function for Bluetti, but did not came across anything for the AC70. Note that Ecoflow do offer this feature on many of their units. I have an AC300 and EB3A as well which also suffers from this major oversight. Can someone help direct me to see if there is a firmware update that can activate such “restore” or “memory” feature?
Hi @snowstorm, We have just replied to your other post with the same content. Here is a repeat of the answer to the question.
At present, only part of AC70 units have completed the new firmware for this function.
Please provide the SN number and current firmware versions of your AC70, and we will check if new firmware can be pushed.
Understand it is a same info, but though of posting it here would allow others to easily find it as the subject is AC70 and not AC180. Here is the info for my AC70
Information @BLUETTI_CARE for my AC70 which is a new replacement for the unit that recently was replaced due to emitting large amounts of smoke.
Hopefully this unit can have the new firmware pushed.

Hi @DJR, Thank you for getting in touch with us.
Now I have applied to upgrade your system to our IT department. They will push the latest version of firmware to your unit in 24 hours.
Please upgrade the firmware tomorrow. Please do not load any device when upgrading it.
Please let us know if it works.
Hi @snowstorm, I understand your point. After you post a new thread about the AC70, many customers with same requirements can find answers here.
For some version batches of AC70, AC180, AC18P and AC300, the System Switch Recovery function can be achieved by pushing firmware.
All versions of Elite 200 V2 and Apex 300 have this function built-in, and it can be enabled through the app without upgrading.
The version of your AC70 meets the requirements, so we have pushed the new firmware for you.
The version of your AC300 does not meet the requirements, so we cannot push it for you.
Thank you. I do not see any firmware available for update yet, hopefully it would come tomorrow.
If I were to buy an AC70 and AC180 in the future (not the P mode, as they are significantly more expensive and I don’t need the incremental capacity increase), how do I know whether they support the AC recover / resume feature? Is there a date after where where all new AC70 and AC180 would also have this capability?
Hi @snowstorm, Thank you for your feedback. We guess a push failure and have urged the technical team to resend the update. However, due to the weekend break, the push may not succeed until next Monday. We appreciate your understanding.
The System Switch Recovery function was developed later, so only certain batches of machines support it. We cannot guarantee this function for your new AC70 or AC180. Nevertheless, we have urged the technical team to develop corresponding features for other versions, which may take some time.
If you need this function urgently, we recommend choosing the new Elite 200 V2 model, as all units of the new version have this function built-in.

Bluetti team, can you try to push this to me again? I checked my AC70 and it still says there is no firmware to update. My AC70’s SN is AC702338000845322
Hi @snowstorm, We have re-applied to push a new firmware for your AC70. Please upgrade first.
However, the app adaptation is not yet ready. After upgrading the firmware, you will need to wait until the app is completed next month and upgrade to the latest version of the app before the function can be enabled.
I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.

Hi @Samjaza, We’re sorry that only the ARM version starting with 2151 is currently eligible for firmware pushing, as firmware for other versions is still under development.
We have urged the R&D department again—thank you for your patient understanding.
Hi @bluetti_jkkwhotmailcom, Thank you for the update! We’re glad to hear that the upgrade was successful.
We also look forward to the upcoming release of the new app version—please share your test results with us once you’ve had a chance to try it out.
I do not see a firmware update on my AC70, but after updating the app today, I now see something called “system switch recovery” that can be activated. “If you like the system to restore its last output on/off status upon restart, enable this option”. This looks like exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve enabled it will report back. I don’t know what enabled it, whether this is a app update or not. I am running ARM v2082.13 and DSP v2085.06
This option should really be available (and likely default on) for all Bluetti units acting as UPS.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work. Even though I was able to enable “system recovery switch” from the app, when the AC70 ran out of power, and I plugged the grid input back in, the AC output didn’t re-enable even though the AC70 was charged to at least 25%. When I check on the app, the “system recovery switch” setting is back to off. I’ve done this 2x already and the same thing happened. It seem that the AC70 didn’t remember that “system recovery switch” has been enabled when it powers down due to lack of charge.
@BLUETTI_CARE Can you help me out with this? We are soooo close…
