I am awaiting delivery of my AC70 (AU version @ 240VAC), probably a week away. Will note, I already own the AC200P & AC180 units.
What I am interested in is the actual mains/grid wattage for all 3 charging modes. The only one specified in the manual is 850W in Turbo Mode.
Does anyone have the figures for Standard and Silent modes? Mainly interested in silent mode as I have a 375W Victron inverter setup in the 4x4 to charge my 180. It draws approx 280W in silent but more than the Victron can handle in standard mode. I’m hopefully assuming the AC70 will be no more than the 180 draws, but realise that I probably won’t have enough in the Victron to charge both at the same time.
For Bluetti Support - Not a big impost for you to provide bulk charge data in the tech specs of the operator manual for all devices with multi mode charge rates, please. It’s info that help decide if the power station is the right choice before purchase.
@Mandp Thanks for pointing out, I have passed it on to the relevant team and it will be added to subsequent updated versions of the manual.
Here is the power data please check.
Finally received the AC70, took a week for Ozpost to deliver it.
I put the Bluetti on charge, it arrived at 54%, set to standard and timed the charge rate. Then on silent and timed again. For those interested -
Standard = 72 seconds per 1% = approx 1hour for a 50% charge.
Silent = 125 seconds per 1% = approx 1.75 hours for a 50% charge.
I rarely need to charge my LFP batteries overly fast. The AC70 & AC180 are both set to Silent as mentioned in my initial question, I have a car mounted Victron charging option and it’s much kinder to the lifespan of the batteries. Given it’s 42C outside and the possibility of a power failure, they are all fully charged. The AC200P has no silent mode due to the power brick fixed input, but if all else fails, I can top it up from the 70 or 180 if needed.
All else fails, guess the Honda gets dusted off, lol.
PS The advice from Bluetti Support re Charging Watts is pretty well spot on. However, I’ve not set any to Turbo charge and probably never will. :) But, good to know it’s there. :)
Should also note, with the AC70 set to Silent from around 60% SOC, ran around the 290-295W mark right up to 100% then cut off without any reduction nearing full. I assume on Standard at near 500W it slows down at some point.
Will check that next charge…unless someone can tell me, lol.
Would have loved to get the AC200 Max when I bought the AC200P, but at $1,000 AUD less on special, and subsequent buys, gotta draw the line somewhere, lol.
Should note, a week and a half ago, we had a storm, a tree took out the transmission line, so no grid for over 800 homes.
Got the AC200P out, plugged in the house fridge/freezer (490lt), which I have tested at in excess of 24hrs off one charge. Then the AC180 came out for the TV. Coupled with Li lanterns, gas stove top and hot water, it was business as usual. As far as I’m concerned, the Bluetti power banks have already paid for themselves. :)
