My AC500 + B300S is running offgrid and is connected to 4 solar panels. I use it to charge my EV car. Through summer and autumn this worked perfectly.
The system is located in the garage. At night the temperature now falls to around 10 degree celsius and the AC500 shuts itself down every night around 9 pm. In the morning when the sun begins to shine (more or less), the AC500 starts up again and operates normally. There is no error code / alarm.
Is that a normal behavior?
Additional Info: this happens at any SOC.
E.g. if SOC is around 40%, the AC500 shuts down. After restart next morning, SOC is still around 40%. The battery is not empty so this is not the reason for shutdown.
The way I read the post, they where not asking about it turning on in the morning, but why it turned off at night and was it due to temperature.
That’s the question exactly. Thank you rgb!
@southside I’m sorry. This may not be caused by low temperatures. AC500 will automatically shut down if it is neither loaded with equipment nor get charged for a period of time. If you charge the AC500 only via PV and the PV charging stops at night and there is no load, the AC500 will shut down.
This explains the behavior,
thanks and regards from southern Germany!
