Does anyone have step by step instructions on how a AC500 can charge RV batteries and power a 50 Amp Rv?
Simplest way is plug the RV into the AC500 ac outlet and use the built in charger in the RV to charge the batteries
Just to be clear, I only need the shore cable plugged into the AC500? And should both the AC and DC outputs be turned on in the control panel?
so i used my AC500 and 1 Batt this summer to run my 5th wheel on our off grid property, i did have it hooked up to solar and used a genny to charge on cloudy days, i plugged mine into the 30amp outlet but i switch the breaker off the converter as i have 6 AGM batts for my RV and it pulls alot of power when charging, i have the RV batts on a separate solar setup.
Just the AC turned on
That is basically what I have discovered. I just plug into the 30amp outlet and let the ac500 run everything. I do disconnect the RV battery to keep it from being charged by the ac500.
You don’t have to disconnect the battery, just flip the circuit breaker inside the RV that controls the power converter / battery charger.
Yep thats what i do also, and yes i run the AC only, purchased 2 more batts for a total of 3 B300S…took a little time to calibrate the batts but Bluetti support was very helpful
I am feeling significant buyers regret with the AC500 and wish I knew about the Delta Pro Ultra.
The only way to get over that feeling is to never buy a new technology. There is always new tech in process years before the introduction. Be assured that when a new model is introduced, it’s successor is already planned and not years away. The same thing exists for new vehicles and new cars still are purchased every year.
It’s mostly that the reviews advertise the AC500 as being quiet which was why i specifically purchased it. It frequently spins up with max fan noise average temperatures for no good reason and is not suitable for use in an RV for that reason.
