i have a little problem with the item: SILENT MODE into the AC500.
The ventilation and noise are identical to Silent ModeEnable or Disable. There are no differences (Speed Fan/Noise).
The AC500 triggers ventilation from time to time, with the fan running and making a lot of noise.
I thought that Silent Mode Enable allowed the fan to run continuously but at low speed, as on the AC300.
My AC500 is up to date, i have installed the new DSP firmware yesterday evening.
Any ideas?
Yeah, I’m not a big fan (pun intended) of the noise, but the AC500 is in the same room as my Home Theater setup and I don’t really notice it with the TV on, which is most of the time. The bedroom is about the last place you’d want it. A kitchen is likely where you would notice it the least. There’s no way I could set mine up in the garage as it gets way too hot.
Some sounds you can get used to, some you can’t. The fan doesn’t bother me, but my neighbor’s barking dog sure does.
It is really annoying and unnecessary. After a recent purchase and use for one day the random unnecessary fan noise with little top no load is really annoying and makes me regret the buy (as well as the complete lack of security with bluetooth on)…
I had the AC300 before, and in “Silent Mode enabled”, it still ventilated but at a slow fan speed. It was perfect, quiet and not uncomfortable.
I don’t know how Silent Mode works when it’s enabled?
How does the fan work?
Is there a temperature sensor that triggers the fan?
Can it control the fan speed?
Do you have any idea ?
Perhaps, could a firmware be developed to operate in the same way as the AC300’s Silent Mode?

I don’t know how the firmware manages the silent mode on the AC500 when it’s activated?
Is there a temperature sensor that triggers the fan? If so, at what temperature? Is the rotation speed available? Low Fast?
Perhaps it would be possible to develop firmware that would work in the same way as the silent mode on the AC300?
I.e. Silent Mode ON: the fan would run continuously but at low speed to limit noise?
The silent mode control strategies of AC300 and AC500 are the same;
The maximum output of AC300 is 3000W, and the maximum output of AC500 is 5000W. AC300 uses 2 cooling fans, and AC500 uses 4 cooling fans. At the same fan speed, AC500 sounds louder, which is normal.
@BLUETTI_CARE … Your points don’t really explain why at almost no load, and full SOC and relatively average to low room temperature, the AC500 seems to turn on fans at full blast for about over a minute for absolutely no reason (regardless if silent mode is on or off)… Connected only to the grid in UPS mode with no solar input at all
Hello, thanks for your answer, however …
Indeed, whether my AC500 is used with the 3 B300 packs charged to 80%, the PVs not producing, the DC Out switched off, the AC Out open with a power output of 400 Watts, a temperature of 23°C, the AC500 starts to ventilate for more than a minute with an unacceptable noise.
This morning I downgraded my configuration, removed the AC500 and reinstalled the AC300.
In my opinion, it’s unacceptable to sell such a noisy product. For it to be acceptable, one of the following two solutions would have to be implemented:
Change the fan speed by firmware, slower speed but running longer to compensate.
Replace the 4 fans with quieter ones.
**I will ask for the product to be returned if no solution is offered. ** And I’m very sorry it’s come to this.

@Jean-pascal Could you please take a short video for us to check? In normal cases, the noise should be acceptable. With the video, we can check if it is the problem with the AC500.
Thank you for your quick reply.
I’m on a training course and will be going home on Friday. I’ll be able to reinstall the AC500 on Saturday and then make a video that I’ll share with you.
In the meantime, I’ve had to reinstall my old AC300 so that my wife can sleep comfortably.
I made two videos.
Video No. 1: The first before replacing the AC300 with the AC500.
It shows the noise produced by the AC300. There is no ventilation noise when I use it like this: PV= 0 to 1100 Watt input Grid= 0 watts DC=off AC= 200 – 1600 watts.
Video 2: When the AC500 is switched on and it same condition, it fans for about 3 minutes every 15 to 20 minutes.
When the fans are activated, they run for 3 minutes each time :thinking :
Here is the trigger list:
12:14 p.m. - Temperature: 24.2°C
One video with the AC300, which very rarely triggers the fans.
A video with the AC500, after installation, the fans are triggered regularly (between 12 minutes and 20 minutes ), ambient temperature of 24.2°C and 24.7°C max.
I filmed all the menus and settings in each video.
To add further information, all evening yesterday, the AC500 ventilated for around 3 minutes every 14 minutes. That’s 12 minutes of ventilation from the 4 fans per hour.
At that time: PV= 0 Watt input Grid = 0 Watt input DC= Off AC = On between 280 watts and 340 watts output. This problem occurred with the AC500 as soon as it was installed.
I bought and received the AC500 in September 2023 (less than 1 month). https://cluster3d.seedbox.fr/s/zYQicGKYiytaWep
Here’s the video of the night with all the AC500 settings. Noted input / output.
I think the AC500 I received is faulty, it’s not possible that this AC500 has to ventilate for 12 minutes an hour, not to mention the noise. I’ve just put the AC300 back into service this morning, and it hasn’t ventilated for several hours under the same conditions.
Please try to disconnect AC500 from the power supply and work fully in off-grid.
In my case the situation has improved significantly, the fans do not switch on as often as when connected to the power supply.
I’ll wait for Bluetti care to come back. If no resolution is possible, I will return the AC500 and stay with my AC300 which works perfectly. To put it simply, the AC300 in the same conditions makes no noise in “Silent Mode: On”, and as soon as I install the AC500, it’s 3 minutes of ventilation every 12 to 15 minutes = 12 minutes per hour. So there really is a problem.
For information: The AC500 is no longer in service, but the AC300 is.
Have a nice day.
Just for fun, I’m sharing a video of my current configuration AC300 with 3 x B300.(waiting for the AC500).
The AC300 is really very good. https://cluster3d.seedbox.fr/s/RRc2ZEBbJJ8HcKb
@Jean-pascal I’m sorry that our technician thought the noise if normal according to your video. I suggest that you contact after-support to change AC500 to test. If you still can’t accept it, you can change it to AC300.
it’s perfect for me, do you can confirm me the email for this ask please ? or have you a process ?
Normaly, i think taht email: sale-eu@bluettipower.com ?
Have a nice day Thanks for your help.
For more information: I had kept all the packaging for the return.
I’ve tried several times to open an “Online request process” incident, and this is the result.
