I recently experienced an issue with the AC500 and PV input twice in the last month but it was an easy fix, although I am curious if anyone else experienced this issue.
This “clear” morning (9am), my two legs of PV were registering Voltage but the watts = 0W input via the app. As soon as I reset the PV (shutting off the safety disconnects) and turned off the AC OUT, then the Wattage returned showing > 850W. Note: shutting off the AC OUT was necessary to reset and recognize the PV in (simply cutting off the PV DC in was not enough). I had it happen about a month ago closer to late afternoon. In both cases the PV in was sufficient Voltage & Amps.
Has anyone experienced this issue before?
Could a low power situation occur that suddenly cuts the PV in low enough to glitch the MPPT, I observed that early this morning (7:10am) after sunrise that the system recorded about 30-50W, then dropped off to zero and about 2 hours later reset the AC500 and it registered.
This situation happened once during a very dark cloud & some rain about a month ago. Resetting like above fixed it.
