AC500 is not showing any AC (grid) input from the FG2500iS generator

Hello my, AC500 is not showing any AC (grid) input from the FG2500iS generator. I just got this generator, really need the power, so I am a bit worried. Basically the generator turns on, my PV is still pulling in normally but my grid shows 0. Not sure if there is a setting or something that i should enable? Anyone can help?

Hi @Mangaliliu, Regarding this issue, we suggest that you lower the charging current a bit. In addition, please confirm that the UPS mode has been set correctly. We hope this is helpful.
We are looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for the reply. How do i do all that? Which settings do I need to enter? and I never touched the UPS mode so it is as per factory setting. Should I do something on that as well? Sorry but I am a beginner … really need some step by step guidance. Thank you so much

Hi @Mangaliliu, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
Please follow these steps:
On the AC500 screen:
Tap the Setting icon.

Tap the Next icon to find Working mode.

Select Standard UPS to better adapt to generator charging.

Adjust current settings:
Tap Max Current Settings.
Gradually reduce the current and check if it helps.

On the Bluetti app:
Log in and provide your SN code and current firmware version.
We will check if there is the latest firmware to push.

Thank you. I followed the instructions. Got the generator to actually work at 3AMP. Right now it’s charging 680v which is enough for me… it’s charging the batteries slowly but continuously. Excellent. I did encounter another few issues. 1) The bluetti app seams to always kick me out and I have to sign in all over again:
YOUR SESSION HAS EXPIRED PLEASE LOG IN AGAIN.
2) seams the bluetooth connection is rather unstable. I added my home wifi but for some reason the bluetti app says it’s connected to the wifi… but actually it keeps wanting to connect to my bluetooth.

I am using an iPhone 16 model.

Hi @Mangaliliu, I’m glad to hear that the generator can now be used for charging.
Regarding the first issue you mentioned:
Could you provide a screenshot of the corresponding error message?
When you mentioned “re-logging in,” do you need to log into the app or reconfigure the network? We need to confirm this information.

We have obtained the SN number for the AC500. Could you please tell us your IOT version? Please first upgrade to the latest version, as this can optimize the app’s connection performance.

It seems you prefer to use Wi-Fi to connect to the AC500. In that case, we recommend selecting Wi-Fi as the default connection method in the settings.
