I have a ac500 connected with 4 b300 batteries and I have noticed that the ac charger fluctuates allot. It has gone from 1.2 kw to 329w to 846w to 259w. Is it normal for the constant fluctuation?
Since I’m off grid location I have never had problems keeping my system charged. I run a 25kw diesel generator that I run every night from 5pm to 11 pm which usually topped off the batteries. But I’m noticing that I’m currently at 53% and it’s 8:52 pm.
I would say no its not normal for the charge to fluctuate that much. I wonder if your generator is putting out stable power or if the voltage is swinging around or something else is wrong.
I believe you need to charge through a generator, preferable an inverter type, with a sine wave that is comparable to your ac500. Also, the manual states you might need to call them for a specific code if using a generator.
Hi @Castilloj73, We believe that the power fluctuations from generator charging are indeed quite significant. Could you please inform us of the specific model of the 25kw diesel generator?
We can push the latest generator firmware to you. Please provide us with the SN code of your AC500 and its current firmware version.
We extend our gratitude to @doecliff and @LukeWarm for their concern and solutions regarding this matter, which are very helpful.
Hello , I’m using a denyo 25 kw diesel generator that powers our campus.

Here is a pic of what my batteries look charging-
Hi @Castilloj73, We found that your DSP firmware is already up to date. Could you let us know your current BMS firmware version? You can click on the SOC icon to get the exact information. We will try to push the latest firmware.
Additionally, please enable Grid Self-adaption while charging with the engine. Does this help?
Hi @Castilloj73, We still haven’t gotten your answer, we wonder if this problem is resolved.
Our engineers are very concerned about the issue you encountered. We recommend that you try charging via the grid to check if the AC charging module of your AC500 is functioning properly. Also, is the ambient temperature within a suitable range?
Please feel free to contact us if you need more help.
Sorry for my delay. I was able to figure out that the reason there was low charging was because the were too many items on the circuit that is used for the ac500.
After moving devices to other outlets the ac500 returned to a consistent charging rate.
Hi @Castilloj73, Thank you for letting us know.
We are glad to hear that the problem has resolved!
By the way, please note that if you need my assistance, please @BLUETTI_CARE, otherwise, I might not see your message and be able to help you promptly.
