AC300 with bad Bluetooth/Wifi signal

Hey everyone,

any AC300 users here that notice a really bad range for Wifi and Bluetooth?

My AC300 cant connect to a Wifi Repeater, even my phone have nearly full bars signal and when i connect to the unit by bluetooth, standing directly beside the AC300, the App shows 2 out of 3 bars for bluetooth connection. One step away, i have 1 out of three bars.

The signal strength wasnt the best from beginning, but i have the feeling its now on a absolute low limit.

Also, when there is any firmware that could fix this, would be happy to hear @BLUETTI_CARE . My current firmwares are:

IOT: v9014.09
ARM: v4037.07
DSP: v4036.30

greetings
Erik

Hi @Selfmadestrom poor signal grrrrr. One thing is all your data being uploaded to the cloud for your AC300 just asking because if the signal is poor on the unit it won’t upload. (Just checked on the troubleshoot app for the 300) just wondering.

A lot of the time it’s not the unit it’s the router that can’t handle a lot of devices I don’t know how many wireless devices you have connected or how what router you are using. I used to have real problems with WiFi signal it seemed to lose streams over a period of six months and my isp had to replace it every six months think it was just a poor router.

Now have a decent one from Vodafone that can handle alit more devices and has fitted all the issues.

Have you tried resetting your router by pressing the pin hole on the rear of it and leaving it disconnected for a good 10min to see if that fixes the wireless issue. Sometimes it as simple as that. Hope it is.

The only difference I see with the software on
My 300 unit is version lot 9014.12

Hey @Ktt

Thanks for you answer.

Unfortunately, it doesnt really seems to matter how stromg the wifi is. Yes, a phone hotspot like 1m away works perfectly, but anything thats a few meters away… no chance.

I set my wifi repeater to different signal strength, try different standards… but nothing lead to sucess. The same configuration did work befoure. Never was really stable but the connection work the most time

@BLUETTI_CARE Whats the difference between the IoT Versions? Could this contain a fix for my problem?

Thanks
Erik

Hi @Selfmadestrom, We attach great importance to your feedback.
@Ktt’s explanation is correct. Generally speaking, upgrading the new IOT firmware can indeed effectively improve the WiFi signal.
However, we have found that the batch of your AC300 does not support IOT upgrade. If you think this significantly affects your usage, we can replace it with an AC300 from another batch. Do you agree? Please contact us via private message to arrange a follow-up on this matter.
