AC300 - wifi disconnects - any way to force firmware update?

My AC300 has the following firmware(s):

IoT: v9014.09 ARM: v4032.10 DSP: v4031.16 Battery: v1024.04

Apparently my IoT firmware is (far?) behind, and neither the Android nor the iOS app wants to update it. Another support rep this:

I contacted our technicians and was told IOT 904106 for AC300 power station has been pushed yesterday

Is there any way to force an update of the firmware? The biggest issue I have at the moment is with Wifi connectivity - I have to do resets/unbinds and it’ll stay connected for a few minutes and drop out. Really a bummer.

I really don’t want to go through the hassle of sending it back. There HAS to be a way to force flash firmware through the USB port

@plympton I’m sorry your machine version cannot receive the new IOT firmware.

  1. The APP must be updated to the latest version;
  2. Turn off and then turn on the Bluetooth and WiFi of the machine display and mobile phone. The mobile phone needs to turn on precise positioning.
  3. The WiFi frequency band must be 2.4G:
  4. Is the machine within the signal range of the WiFi signal source and router? If the machine is too far away, the poor reception signal may cause the connection to fail. You can enter “About device” in the APP to check the network signal Network Rssi. The more negative it is, the worse the WiFi signal is, for example, -80 is already critical. You can move the machine closer to the router.
  5. Is the mobile phone signal poor? If the mobile phone signal is poor, it may also result in the inability to connect to the machine remotely.

If none of the above methods can solve the problem, please contact customer service for repair.
