I’ve had my AC300 with 2 batteries, and 6-Renogy 320 panels-3 per controller, for about 9 months, love it, my electric bill is basically non-existent. However, I do get some clicking noises, not all the time, and not loud, but there is definitely a noise. I recorded it, it is an m4a, not sure how to upload it.
Other than the fan, what noises, if any should i hear?
Thanks.
…never change a running system…
huh?
Who is changing? Trying to source the sound.
is it by chance the solar input relay? It may click in low light circumstances that are insufficient for charging to begin
Hi @LukeWarm, We would like to know if the AC output of your AC300 was functioning normally when the issue occurred. Please upload the video to Google Drive or another online cloud service and share the link with us so we can investigate further.
Additionally, could you please provide the SN code and DSP version number of your AC300? We will check if it is upgraded to the latest version.
Functioned great, zero issues
SN:AC3002222000439442
DSP:v4031-v4031.30
It looks like there is a new upgrade today.
I’ll figure out where to upload audio
update:
Just uploaded the new versions
google drive:
…and it still does it with upgrade - batteries at 59% early am with very little solar coming in (10w) at the time…system is not hooked up to grid.
absolutely could be…
Hi @LukeWarm, I am unable to view the video. I have requested access to your Google Drive file using the name Joanna. Please grant permission. Once you do, I will forward the video to our engineers for review.
Hi @LukeWarm, Our engineers have listened to the audio, and it sounds like the fan might be hitting a wire.
They would like more details on this issue. Aside from the noise, is everything else functioning normally? Also, does the noise occur only when the fan is running, or does it only happen when the AC output is turned on and stop when the AC output is off?
Everything runs great, I love the system.
I do not think there is a noise, or can hear if there is a noise, when the fan is on; I will listen more closely. The noise seems to occur while charging and running, as far as I can tell, because I do not shut it off. It may make the noise when charged and then discharging, as in being used …for example at night.
The AC, and usually the DC is always on because I run the system, and solar charge the system every day, the AC is rarely off. I rarely use the grid to charge unless we have cloudy days. Except for my electric stove/oven, the system runs my small household.
Yesterday, I did drain the batteries down to zero and the system shut itself off, per the manual. I then recharged it by the grid and then reattached the solar, I will see if there is a difference today.
UPDATE: After the shut down and re-charge…the noise still continues, it might even be a touch louder. It is definitely either a clicking or a rattling…and it might only be happening when charging, although I cannot confirm that at the moment.
Hi @LukeWarm, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
We believe the noise level isn’t too loud and that it should be fine to continue using the product. However, if the noise bothers you, you can always contact the seller for after-sales support. I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.
So, you are saying two things; one that there is a noise but too loud? (noise but not a problem-confusing) The second thing you are saying is that if i find it to be a problem then i need to sort it out with service? That is an obtuse answer. Is it a problem or not?
- A clicking/rattling noise is either a problem or not.
- Does it alter the function of the AC300, or will it in the future?
- Is this commonplace on AC300s? If it isn’t then it needs to be replaced?
Customer support needs to answer these questions.
I bought it direct from Bluetti.
I would like more specific answers from you before i call.
Thanks.
Hi @LukeWarm, We have consulted with our customer service department regarding this matter. We agree that the machine does produce some noise, which we consider to be a minor issue and does not affect its functionality.
If you are not too concerned about the noise, you may choose to keep the order, and we can offer 3000 points as compensation.
Alternatively, if you feel that can’t bear the noise, you can opt to contact after-sales service for repairs. Our customer service department will assist you with any follow-up support.
You are welcome to choose the option that best suits your needs.
I hope it does help.
