Despite reading all the forum entries here I’m still confused about the AC300’s max 150VOC. Is it per MPPT input, or both DC1 and DC2 totaled)? To be specific, I have 5 of these Rich Solar 250W panels (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BYFQQQTW/?th=1) running in series into the DC1 input on my AC300. This gives me 1250watts (capped at 1200watts) forDC1, and the VOC is under 150 at 114V (22.8V per panel * 5). Can I buy another 5 panels and use them in series on the other MPPT DC2 input, so I’ll have 2400watts total, with the VOC being 114V on each MPPT input… but a total of 228VOC for both inputs? Thanks in advance for helping me understand this!
yes, you can have 2 x 1200 watts by dc input
Thanks. So the AC300 will allow 150VOC on DC1 and another 150VOC on DC2? The watts don’t worry me, but the volts on both inputs do.
Yes, it’s 150V each.
If your array(s) exceed(s) 150V then you can:
a) use the D300S voltage reducer (allows two arrays to be connected and drops the input voltage for the AC300 MPPTs to about 115V each);
b) theoretically use the PV Parallel option, although I don’t quite understand yet how that’s supposed to work (see the thread I’ve just started titled “AC300 Solar Charging Video on YT”).
