Greetings! I ran into a problem: the Type-C output on my new AC240p does not support the Samsung very fast charging standard. My Galaxy S24 Ultra charges at a maximum of 15W at best. And sometimes, every other time, it doesn’t charge at all. And what’s even stranger is that the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra tablet does not charge from type-c at all, and displays a message as if I connected it as a drive to the PC.
I tried different cables, original Samsung and Belkin. My previous cheap no-name charging station charges both devices perfectly with a maximum output of 45W. Is it possible to solve this with firmware?
It appears other people have had charging issues with their S24 Ultra as well. The issue seems to be with the phone. I don’t know about the tablet charging issue. Here is a link with s24 owners discussing this: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s24-series/s24-ultra-charging-and-usb-c-issues/td-p/9286754
I have no problems with charging on the s24 ultra, and on the tab s9 ultra too. Both devices can be charged from any charger, depending on the power it supports. The only problem is with ac240p charging. Obviously, the type-c output of this station does not support the required protocol. I would understand if the 45 watt mode (very fast charging in Samsung terminology) was not supported, and the charging station provided at least 25 watts (fast charging mode in Samsung terminology). But even with charging at a minimum power of 15 W via type-c there is a problem. Again, I have another charging station that is almost two years old, it does not have any modern technology, but it charges both devices perfectly with a power of 45 watts.
I understand you are able to charge it as described in your first post. I wrote what I did because it seems at least some other users of that phone have had difficulties charging it. This type of issue usually can be adjusted through firmware. It is likely a communication issue between the 2. I’d look into the similar non P variant of your solar generator to see if people have experienced similar issues with it, if so, perhaps they have remedied it. You should also mention for Bluetti, which country you are from, as the models differ some.
