I use PV input and AC200MAX and as known AC200MAX doesn’t have a bypass (or pass through) ability, so at 100% it cuts PV input completely, discharges to 99%, switches on PV input, charges to 100% and city of PV again. And does it constantly in circle.
For how long my AC200MAX will be able to operate in such conditions?
I mostly worry about sitting at full SoC for a long time and how harmful it for LiFePO4 battery?
Can it still lasts for at least 2000 cycles of 3500 from advertising? (for Li-ion it’s definitely killing point and even dangerous, it can even catches fire)
Hi @VrMk, actually, the AC200MAX support bypass charging, can be charged and discharged at the same time. Please rest assured.
The AC200MAX stops charging once it reaches 100% to prevent overcharging. It will resume charging only when the battery level drops to 99%. This is normal behavior. Stopping charging after reaching full capacity does not harm the battery. On the contrary, overcharging can damage the battery, so the automatic stop is a protective measure.
After 3,500+ cycles, the AC200MAX’s usable battery capacity decreases to 80%, but it can still be used with a 20% reduction in capacity. This is not dangerous and will not cause a fire. Our products use flame-retardant materials, so you can use them with confidence.
