AC200L PV Priority strange charging behavior

Hi all, just bought an AC200L and it’s a really great product. I’m observing some strange charging behavior and power usage. First, my setup is solar charging during the day, discharging during the evening and night, grid takes over at 15% battery. Unit is running in PV Priority mode set to 15% SOC.

The strange behavior is two things:

  1. When plugged into the wall, even if the app says 0w for grid, it is still drawing 90-100w which I can see on my smart plug that the AC200L is plugged into. I do know the unit has idle power consumption, but the manual says that’s only around 10w.

  2. When plugged into the wall, it won’t charge from solar until solar input exceeds loads by at least like 230w or so (not sure on exact number). Only then will will BMS Status change to Charge. Strangely, if I unplug the unit from the wall and go fully off grid, BMS Status is in Charge mode as long as PV is higher than loads.

It could be I just don’t understand how it works, I would expect in PV Priority mode that it operates as if it’s disconnected from the wall until it hits the configured SOC. It could also be what I’m observing in terms of BMS Status may just not be accurate.

Wondering if anyone has an insight on this or if you’ve experienced a similar thing.
