AC180P upgrade request for auto restore AC/DC after power restore

Hi, @BLUETTI and @BLUETTI_CARE!

I’m kindly asking you to review this software update request for AC180P, I hope it will help not only me, but other people who are using AC180P in UPS mode.

So, what I’m asking for is to add functionality to restore AC/DC modes state in case AC180P restored grid connection from 0%

Let me describe how does it work now and how I’m proposing to do.

How does it work now:

  1. AC180P in UPS mode with AC/DC turned on
  2. AC180P losing grid connection
  3. AC180P starting to discharge by powering connected devices
  4. When AC180P discharges to 0% - AC/DC are forced to be turned off
  5. When grid is back - AC180P is starting to charge, but AC/DC are still turned off. That means, if I leave AC180P unattended - there is no chance that UPS mode will be turned on.

I propose to add setting that will allow to restore AC/DC power on the step 5 above, like “Auto restore state after AC180P resurrection”

I really hope that you will consider to analyse my request and find it useful, not only for AC180P but for other your devices.

Thank you in advance!

@BLUETTI_CARE
This is probably the most requested feature here and the one that makes Bluetti stations worse than competitos, unfortunately.

As I’m aware, new AC200 Elite v2 has this functionality, so I’m glad you get rid of this drawback for new ones, but couldn’t it really be added to older stations by FW update? I cannot believe it’s something software cannot solve, as we can turn it on by remote app.

I have same request for AC200PL.
Thank you.

Hi @cappajet and @snmya, We greatly value your feedback.
We have tested the new firmware on the AC60P and AC70P series products and found it to be very effective. As a result, we have decided to gradually roll it out to other models, including the AC180P and AC200L.
Our product development team will release the new firmware in stages. Please stay tuned.
I am sorry, but we can’t confirm when the new firmware will be released. We will try.

Hi @Jane, For this issue, we would like to confirm if the output is turned off after 4 hours each time?

We are concerned that you may have selected ECO mode.
Please turn off the ECO mode, so that the AC180P will not turn off the output after 4 hours.
Please let us know if it works.

Hi BLUETTI_CARE I have an AC70 without this feature, there are no updates when I check. Please could you advise me how to get this feature where the AC would turn back on? I would also be interested in this for my AC180P. Will it be a general update for the AC180P or should I keep an eye out here in the forum? Thanks

Hi @Tezzabee, We apologize for the delayed response due to the holiday.
Could you please provide us with the SN code and current firmware version of your AC70? This will help us check if we need to push a new firmware update to enable the desired function.

As for the AC180P, it is expected to be released in March, but we are unable to confirm the exact date at the moment. We recommend reaching out to us in mid-March for the latest firmware updates.

Hi @Pletenets, Thank you for your interest in our products.
However, we haven’t received much feedback regarding the AC200PL, so it hasn’t been included in our plans at this moment.

@BLUETTI_CARE
OMG Are you serious?? Of course AC200PL have to be included in this! There are multiple posts about it on forum, icluding multiple from me with many likes, and we (users) just assumed that if you update older stations with this, then of course AC200PL will receive such update too, and we didn’t spam you with this!
.
To not update it would be terrible solution, both technical and service-related, really. How could you not understand, it is vital for ppl with sudden and long electricity problems, such as in Ukraine to have it, to have turned on outputs restored. Just check out how many of you stations were purchased last 2 years to be used in Ukraine, and that is it - all of them need it! And AC200PL is one of the most popular stations lately, both with sellers and buyers here, so of course, it should behave not worse than obsolete 180.
.
Please fix this!
.
P.S.Also, it’s been a main reason for a while (I’m have friends in reselling buisness), buyers choose station from different manufacturer, because they have this feature from the start, that is how important it is. Your answer is just the most frustrating thing I’ve heard this month. If you won’t do this properly, I’m just done for, will sell mine and purchase EcoFlow.

Hi @snmya, Your feedback is extremely valuable to us.
We have passed your suggestions on to the product development team and urged them to discuss the feasibility of a new firmware for the AC200PL.
We will provide you with a definite response as soon as possible.

Hi, I replied with the details for the AC70

Hi @Tezzabee, Yes, we have received the message you sent yesterday. We already requested the new firmware for you yesterday.

However, we apologize, as the engineers informed us that the new firmware is currently only available for certain batches of the AC70P. The new firmware for the AC70 has not yet been fully tested, so it may take some more time.

We have urged the product development team to push the firmware to you separately. We have received a response, and they said they can push the firmware to you. However, the firmware is still not fully mature, and once pushed, this feature cannot be turned off. Do you agree with this? This could potentially create certain risks. For example, if you’re boiling water before a power outage, enabling this feature would allow it to continue boiling when power is restored, without needing to be manually turned on, which may result in an unmonitored situation. Once confirmed, we will push it to your AC70.

Hi BLUETTI_CARE,
Thanks for your reply.
I am mainly using the AC70 to run a fridge, so I think the facility would be more beneficial than risky to me.
When you say the firmware is not ‘fully mature’ though, do you mean it is not yet fully tested? Please could you clarify that as I wouldn’t want any issues with my AC70.
Thanks

Hi @Tezzabee, We have consulted on this matter again.
Our test team has tested the firmware internally, but the accompanying app service is not yet complete. As a result, it is not possible to disable this feature through the app.
Since it is only powering a refrigerator, we believe this does not pose any risk.

If you confirm your acceptance of this, we can proceed to push the new firmware to you.
Please let us know your device’s SN number and current firmware version.

@BLUETTI_CARE Thank you! That is great to hear, and sorry if I was too harsh earlier.

When you say, this cannot be controlled via app, do you mean, AC&DC will always be ON after power restored, or it will always be in same state as it was when station turned off due to disgarging to 0?

Do you plan to have the option to switch between this behaviour and current one (always OFF)? As for me, I can wait for when it’s fully implemented, if it will be in nearest 1-2 months, or what are your estimations?
