AC180P Display Blackout: Identifying the Root Cause?

Hi everyone,

I have been noticing that my AC180P occasionally experiences a sudden black screen on its display while the unit continues to operate normally.

Iam trying to figure out whether this issue stems from a firmware bug, hardware malfunction, or perhaps thermal management challenges.

Has anyone else encountered this, and are there any proven troubleshooting steps or fixes? Any help would be much appreciated!

The screen automatically turns off after a set time during use to save energy. Pressing any button should turn it back on. There is a setting in the app called auto sleep where you can choose set times or always on for the screen time.

Thanks for the response! I understand the auto-sleep feature, but in my case, the black screen happens randomly, even while actively using the unit. Pressing buttons doesn’t always bring it back immediately. I have checked the auto-sleep settings, but the issue persists. Could this be firmware-related or a hardware issue? Any further troubleshooting tips would be great. Thanks!

Hi @cowem, We are deeply concerned about the issue you have raised.
We agree with @Tezzabee’s opinion; indeed, normal screen dimming should not affect usage and can save energy.
However, you mentioned that “Pressing buttons doesn’t always bring it back immediately,” which does not seem normal.
Please provide us with the SN code and the current firmware version of your AC180P so that we can check if there is a new firmware available to fix the issue.
