I have just purchased an AC180 and am generally happy with it, although I have a few wishes for the Bluetti team. I use it only as a UPS to keep my essential electronic devices always ON and I have an autonomy that even the best traditional UPS can’t dream of.
First of all I would like to ask for a “safe mode” where the front buttons require a long long press to activate/deactivate as they can be accidentally pressed very easily, from the application there is also no confirmation question and by accidentally touching the screen you can turn it off.
On the other hand, I note that the station charges several times a day from 99% to 100% (always connected to the wall). I am not sure if this is best for battery health but perhaps a threshold could be set for those that losing 1% or 5% is not critical for daily use.
In addition, scheduling charging at a specific time could be very useful already. In my case, it is not the most pleasant to hear several times a day for a few minutes the charging sound, even in silent mode. Something like: If there are a power outage, charge as soon as the power comes back on, if not, charge at 4:00 am.
Finally, maybe this option already exists but I have not been able to find it. Is it possible that the app in online mode, could notify when there is a power outage? Or is the app only intended to work near the device?
You should be able to set the screen timeout in the app. But can agree that you easily can turn on outlets without notice
That behavior can be seen on any UPS Bluetti Powerstation. Thats because the AC180 pass the power 1:1 from the grid to the AC device. The unit have a certain selfconsumption which causes the drop to 99%
Some units have such things like time based events. Maybe they can implement it for AC180 too.
Hi @corral, Thank you for choosing Bluetti.
Yes, @Selfmadestrom’s response was very detailed and professional. The AC180 only supports Bluetooth connection, and if you need more features, unfortunately, you would need to upgrade to a new model that supports Wi-Fi connectivity, such as the Elite 200 V2, which is a great option.
Currently, we suggest you consider purchasing a smart socket, as it allows you to set charging times according to your needs.
