AC180 grid Charging limited to 300 watts no matter what charge setting is used.

New AC180 owner. Very excited to get it. It arrived at 62% Charge decided to plug it into wall and charge to 100%. It started to charge held at 250w input then ramped up towards full charge. It got to about 1000 watts fan kicked in then it backed down to 300 watts. Tried another outlet, changed charge mode. Nothing brings it to full charge rate. As it is charging it will occasionally try and ramp up charge but quickly backs down to 305 again. Is this normal for first charge. Or is my new AC180 defective. PS did update firmware before trying to charge.

Welcome to the group. ,I also have the ac180 it’s a great unit you will love it.

Regarding your unit did you do a cycle of the battery complete discharge and charge to full? Discharge at a steady rate with something like a hair drier until the unit turns off then charge with nothing else attached until fully charged.check for update again. And that should fix your problem. 🩵🩵🩵🩵

@AdvGirl In addition to the methods mentioned above, sometimes low temperatures will also affect the charging power.

Have adjusted the charge rate in the app to allow for a full (turbo) charge rate?

I am also new to Bluetti, I got an AC180 and when is connected to the grid is charging at 720 watts, is that normal?

HI!
The manual says :
AC180 supports Turbo/Standard/Silent charging modes. It’s set to standard charging by
default, while the Turbo and silent modes can be enabled in BLUETTI app. BLUETTI’s AC
charging mode guide is as follows:

  1. Turbo charging comes in handy when you need AC180 to be replenished in short time.
  2. Standard charging is more friendly to AC180’s battery.
  3. Silent charging gives you quiet, low-power operation for long battery life.
