Hi, I am trying to work out what cables I need to buy for my new AC180. Can I run from the solar panel an SAE and MC4 cable, link it to an MC4 and DC7909 cable directly into the AC180? Or do I need a control box for it to go through like my leisure battery had? Many thanks for any help!
Solar panels do need a controller between the panel and the battery. The AC180 has an inbuilt controller, so all you need to is connect the panel/s directly to the D7909 input as you suggest, without an additional controller.

Thank you! Is it also the same for the EB3A? I have both. I have bought sae to m4, then m4 to 7909, hoping it works.
All Bluetti power banks have inbuilt MPPT solar controllers for direct to panel connection. Plus, both ship with MC4 cables to attach panels. My solar has Anderson output plugs, I made a jumper lead Anderson to MC4. You use whatever you have, providing the connector can carry the electrical load.
