A suggestion to improve the AC200L

I would like to suggest a couple improvements to the app that could be used to add powerful
functionality to the AC200L.

You should add two user programmable settings to the AC200L:

  1. max discharge limit - for both the main battery and any extension batteries connected
    (a sticky setting that would stay set even after changing expansion batteries)
  2. discharge source preference - one of three: MAIN (AC200L), EXPANSION or BALANCED
    (I would like to be able to draw power ONLY from an expansion battery until it
    reaches the max discharge limit set above, then have power drawn from the main
    battery until I switch expansion batteries, when power would again be
    drawn ONLY from the expansion battery. That way I can recharge one expansion battery
    while the other is being discharged, and only have the main battery on the AC200L being
    discharged for short periods until I can change expansion batteries.)

@Thari This is a relatively niche requirement that I will pass on to the product department for follow-up evaluation. Thanks for the input.

Actually I think this would be a nice feature. In an extended power outage, a feature like this would make it easier since I have three expansion batteries and the AC200L can only use one at a time (the other two are normally hooked up to my AC200MAX).

rgb, that is exactly my thinking. I am only using these devices when our grid power goes out. As the devices are now configured, if we get 2-3 days of clouds during an extended outage, I will run completely out of power. Keeping the AC200L’s main battery as a reserve would really help in that situation.
