I have an AC300 with 2 B300s as my backup generator.
I would like to locate my generator in the garage with the panels (1600 watts total) behind the house, which would result in a distance of nearly 100ft
Do I need to use 8 AWG or could I get away with 10 AWG?
Also, If I ever decide to increase the size of my system or distance increases at all, am I “future proofed” in some way by going with 8 AWG?
Hi @rickw , You can use the 8awg. However, your solar panel is a bit powerful, which needs to be on PV parallel mode, and your custom cable has to have two pairs of MC4 connectors like our cable to work.
