What would have been amazing is if the AC300 and AC500 could have been integrated somehow as a lot of people will be upgrading from those units, and will have them lying around if they upgrade. If we could have continued to use the AC300/AC500 in a more simple form like as a Solar charge controller or DC inverter that would have made the upgrade option a lot more palatable for some especially as the charge controller is somewhere more flexible on these older units due to the higher voltage limit.

I am not sure if the Hub A1 will have some support for older units I really hope it will, but what would be really cool is a simple power transfer hub that can be an interface to allow power transfer over expansion port P90D from unit to unit and battery to battery.

For example you would connect an AC200MAX to the hub using P90D and transfer the stored power to an expansion battery or another power station such as the Apex300. This power transfer could be controlled by the app remotely and with buttons on the hub and would allow people to utilise multiple generations of power stations, and maximise their storage potential and solar charging potential.
