F045D MultiCooler with B70 Battery and Solar

@BLUETTI_CARE Unfortunately I have been advised that there are no replacement solar cables available currently, with no ETA, so if that is the reason for the B70 not taking any charge from solar when the B70 is inside the F045D, I have no way of testing with another cable.

I note on the Indiegogo page that someone else has reported the exact same issue. Is it possible it could be a fault with the B70’s BMS? I can connect to a 12v source and the B70 charges perfectly whilst inside the cooler, and as mentioned previously, AC charging also works. It is only solar input that appears to be the issue. I assume there is no possibility of updating the B70 firmware without an AC180T?

Hi @Erebus, We have reported this issue to the R&D department. Currently, without the AC180T, it’s indeed impossible to upgrade the B70 through the Multi-cooler.

Could you please try connecting the Multi-cooler and then log into the app or use a multimeter to test the PV input voltage? If there is voltage, it indicates that the cable is functioning properly.
We are also working on a solution for this matter. We will contact you again when we get an answer.

@BLUETTI_CARE yes, there is voltage, but the B70 is drawing no amps or watts.

This was the reported voltage when connected to 2 X PV120 panels in Parallel in full winter sun. It varied between 21 and 24v but the battery capacity never increased.

Hi @Erebus, Based on the current situation, we believe that the Multi-cooler is indeed malfunctioning, which is causing the inability to charge via solar power. We recommend that you contact the seller for a return and repair. Their email address is crowdfunding@bluetti.com.
I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.

@BLUETTI_CARE Thank you very much for the update. I am happy to continue using the cooler as is, especially after waiting so long to receive it.

@BLUETTI_CARE Further to this, I have another query if I may? Will the forthcoming B70 Stand/Charger have solar charging input? If so, then this would negate the need for me to solar charge through the F045D.

Hi @Erebus, I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.
The B70 charger is still under development and is unlikely to be released in the short term. We’ve tried to gather more information about its function, but we haven’t received any specific updates yet, so we can’t provide a definite answer at this time.

We’d like to analyze the issue further. Could you record a video of the solar charging process, including the status of the solar panels and the Multi-Cooler? Please upload the video to a cloud service and share the link with us.

@BLUETTI_CARE I was wondering if there is any update on a standalone charger for the B70 battery yet please?

Hi @Erebus, Thank you so much for your interest in our new product.

We have also inquired with the new product development team. They informed me that it is still in the development and testing phase, and unfortunately, they cannot provide a specific release date at this time. We regret not being able to give you a more definitive answer.

We are all eager for this new product to be completed as soon as possible.

@BLUETTI_CARE Bluetti Australia have advised me that the B70 standalone charger is no longer being developed. Is that correct? If so, will Bluetti provide a suitable cable that we can use to charge the B70 battery from another power station etc.?

Charging the B70 inside the cooler is not always successful, and for those of us who don’t have the AC180T power station there needs to be another option please.

Hi @Erebus, I’m afraid that is indeed the case; the standalone charger for the B70 will not be further developed. We regret this outcome.
Please charge the B70 using the Multi Cooler. When the compressor is not operating, the power consumption is relatively low, and the remaining power from the AC adapter charging can be used to charge the B70.
If the charging performance is not satisfactory, please provide us with specific information for analysis.

@BLUETTI_CARE thank you for the reply. That is extremely disappointing. Will a suitable cable be made available to charge the B70 from another source, or will the cooler and 180T be the only option now?

Hi @Erebus, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
Yes, it is. The Multi cooler and 180T are the only options right now.

@BLUETTI_CARE I see. Such a monumental disappointment and let down.

Hi @Erebus, I am sorry for the inconvenience.
We fully understand how you feel, but the marketing department’s decision is based on the product’s market performance. It is difficult for us to change this outcome.
If you believe the Multi Cooler’s charging performance is abnormal, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Whats kinda funny on this is, that they stop support a product because of its low sell performance and meanwhile it isnt even available to buy at the most regions.

Atleast for germany, the only thing i can buy right now is the AC180T. Not a B70 or the Multicooler

Hi @Selfmadestrom, Thank you for your interest in our new products.
Although we are no longer developing new accessories for the B70, we will continue to sell this product line and provide warranty service.

Oh, wow! Thanks @BLUETTI_CARE . The last time i search for it, on the CMT exhibition, i couldnt find it. Really sad to hear that the B70 is no longer in active development. I really like this idea.

Maybe someday with another battery.
