Hi @SammyK, to troubleshoot this issue, we need you to send us a screenshot of your ECO settings, including how the AC and DC load power are configured, as well as the actual power of the connected loads. We will then further verify and investigate the matter accordingly.
@BLUETTI_CARE
Let me explain how I use my Elite V30. It is a UPS for my pellet stove. The stove is only used in the evenings, and I shut the stove off when I go to bed. Pellet stoves take time to shut off their exhaust fan and the fan continues to run until the exhaust temperature drops below a safe value.
I set the AC-ECO to shutoff the AC outlet to the stove after the wattage drops below 20 Watts for 1 hour, giving the stove plenty of time to safely remove any residual smoke.
I did this because Section 5.4 of the manual notes that AC-ECO is not available when **CHARGING ** with AC power.
So, I used the Time Control UPS, and set the CHARGING time to be between 4:00 and 5:30 PM. This allowed me to charge my Elite 30 once a day and still have ECO Mode safely shutoff the AC outlet 1 hour after fans shutoff. The only interaction I needed to do was to turn the AC outlet of my Elite 30 back on before restarting my stove in the evening.
This worked as I just described before installing the latest firmware.
Now ECO mode only works when AC Power (Grid Power) is disconnected and Elite 30 is running off battery power. Elite 30 no longer allows ECO Mode to operate during the
Time Control UPS non-charging periods.
I attached the screenshots you asked for, but hopefully my above explanation gives a clearer picture as to what is going on.
Hi, @SammyK ,We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. In the latest firmware version, the ECO mode behavior is indeed as you have observed. From a design perspective, this change was made mainly with typical backup / UPS usage scenarios in mind. When grid power is available, automatically turning off the AC output could negatively impact the user experience, so the logic was adjusted and optimized accordingly.
For your specific use case, we recommend considering the use of an external timer switch or timer outlet. By pairing a timer outlet with the system, you can achieve a delayed power-off after the stove shuts down, ensuring the exhaust fan has sufficient time to run safely, without relying on ECO mode. Additionally, a timer outlet can also be configured to automatically restore power at a preset time, potentially allowing the stove to turn on automatically as well.
If you prefer to keep your original workflow, you may also consider rolling back to a previous ARM firmware version, in which the ECO mode behavior matched your earlier usage scenario.
@BLUETTI_CARE
I’m not interested in purchasing an external timer that may or may not be able to do what ECO Mode was capable of doing before the update. Using ECO Mode in conjunction with Time Control UPS was a great feature, that sadly no longer exists with the latest updates.
Rolling back to a previous ARM firmware seems to be my only option.
