A faulty alternator ( typically due to a faulty voltage regulator) CAN overcharge a battery which would result in a “input overcurrent” error. Did you confirm your alternator is pushing the normal range of about 13.8V to 14.7V? I assume you have the proper gauge wire for your cable run as well, but asking just in case. Recently, I had a defective starter battery that caused my alternator to send WAY too much power (15.2V+) constantly to my battery. Might want to check your battery as well. Your alternator will be under max stress while the engine is idling and the load will only decrease once you bring up the RPMs and drive it. Charger 1 will prematurely kill your alternator if you use it while idling.
thanks for the heads up i will get it checked
Same problem with Charger 1, 4 red flashes and under voltage message. Only about 1v output and no charge.
HI there Bluetti Support. I have owned my One DC to DC charger for about a month now. I get the exact issue that is shown here above. I bought it from Harvey Norman online here in Australia. I have tried it on my Hyundai i30 and also on my Isuzu Dmax 3 litre diesel Ute. It gives the same error as in the video above and simply wont charge. I have it connected to a very new AC 180 (about 4 months old and hardly used). Should I return it to Harvey Norman store for replacement?
Hello, For this issue, please log in to the Bluetti app and update all firmware to the latest version.
After that, disable the Adaptive Mode and try again.
Does this resolve the problem?
Please advise next steps as seems I need warranty

replacement or refund.
Hi there. I have done as requested. I connected it to my car battery. Connected through the app. Updated the firmware. Went in and disabled the adaptive mode. Still the issue persists and I cannot charge my battery. Please advice next best steps.
Hello, in this case, you can contact the customer service of the purchasing platform for repair.
I’m on my second charger 1 this week. The first one had a circuit overload error that wouldn’t go away. Spoke to customer service this morning and could not resolve my issue. Tech support is supposed to reach out to me. The issue: when I connect charger 1 to my AC200P it trips the overload voltage on my unit. Firmware is updated and disabled the adaptive setting. Still trips the fault code 001 on the AC200P. Any suggestions? Thanks. Jeff
Hello,
Regarding the error 001 you mentioned, this usually indicates that the PV voltage is too high, and the product has activated protection. This situation is generally related to external connections and the solar panels. Please verify the following points step by step:
- Connecting multiple solar panels in series or parallel can easily cause issues. Therefore, please provide the wiring diagram from your location. Additionally, the solar panels that are connected in series or parallel must be fully exposed to sunlight; any partial shading or obstruction will directly affect the output voltage and current of the solar panels.
- Please provide the specifications of a single solar panel.
- Ensure that the settings are correct; the solar charging mode must be set to PV mode.
- Try charging with a car charger. If the car charger works, then the product is functioning correctly, and you should focus on points 1 and 2.
- If neither the car charger nor the PV can charge, it may indicate a motherboard fault.
Hi there.
Solar works great. No faults. Car charging from cigarette lighter works great with 105 watts coming in to unit. When I attach the charger one is when I get the over volt fault code on my unit.
Suggestions?
Thanks. Jeff
