AC70P Keeps Turning OFF

Hi,

My AC70P will not remain on for any prolonged period of time. I turn the power on and the fan kicks on for a 5 seconds, the AC70P might stay on for a bit before turning off completely, or it will stuff off immediately. It’s very frustrating and will not stay on for more than a minute … currently at 94% and functioning otherwise when powered as far as I can tell - no error messages just powering down.

I’ve read other posts about disabling ECO mode or Firmware updates, but no fixes seem to work. If anyone has any suggestions please help! @BLUETTI_CARE @BLUETTI

S/N: AC70P2445000674020
IOT: v9046.04
ARM: v2152.05
DSP: v2111.05

Thank you in advance!

Hello, I have forwarded your issue to the technical team. Please wait patiently for their response.

@BLUETTI okay, just to add some information - the batteries seem to be charging normally… I recalibrated the SoC by draining till the station powered down then charged back to 100% This seemed to prolong the time the machine stays on, but after testing all of the outputs. The AC70P keeps just shutting down with no warning. Screen shuts off, fan dies, AC and DC and Power Light all shut off with no output at all. I can turn the machine back on and it will die again after a minute even though it displays high battery life.

If plugged into GRID the machine will stay on completely

Highly likely a faulty battery or BMS. The job of the BMS is to protect the battery, but if its faulty internally it will still exhibit that behavior. The only way to truly tell if its bad cells is to rip it apart and measure the voltage with a tool (but don’t do that as it will void warranty). Otherwise, the BMS itself could be malfunctioned/bad either from a botched firmware update or just failed hardware. The solution is likely warranty (RMA/repair/replacement).

Thank you for the reply, that is sort of what I was thinking - some deeper issue with the batteries or BMS. I’m still hoping to hear something from @BLUETTI_CARE if maybe a firmware update can help the issue, but we will see. I contacted and am waiting to hear back from @BLUETTI customer support to see about the warranty/repair/replacement, but this item was a gift and am unsure on their policy and I’ve read older posts about lack of support for the AC70P. I won’t open up the box at all until I hear back.

Just disappointed that the product was never able to function properly out of the box…

On the warranty policy when they say “gift” they mean promotional item, but generally licenses are not transferrable and restricted to the original “consumer” purchaser, so you are likely out of luck.

Hello,
We have pushed ARM215271 and DSP211106. Has the issue been resolved?

Thank you for your feedback, and I look forward to your response!

This is what I see checking the app. I can see there is a newer version for ARM… nothing for DSP yet. The app doesn’t give me the option to do anything on the version page like a download button or anything. I won’t know if it works until I run the machine down while monitoring. I’ll update tomorrow

thank you for your response

Another update @BLUETTI,

I was able to update DSP and ARM at this point. I charged my AC70P to 100% and was running through tests of all outputs. It went all the way down to 75% with no issues before shutting down again. ECO mode is off, and there were 2 items plugged in drawing about 120W. When attempting to turn the device back on, it repeated the initial issue and shut down again on its own after just 5 seconds. Just turning off on its own no matter if it is being used or sitting there with no outputs on… Starting to think this is a hardware issue and waiting to hear back from my emails to @BLUETTI_CARE
