@BLUETTI_CARE , will do.
Hi @GregP, I am glad to telll you we have pushed the new BMS v1022.14.
Please let us know if it works after upgrading.
I’ve completed the upgrade on 2 of the 4 B300Ss. I will need to get help to move the stack with one as it’s on the bottom of the stack and the cable is not long enough to charge it. I’ll let you know about that one later.
One B300S is almost dead. When I connect it to the AC500 the AC500 reports it is completely drained. It will not charge from any source: AC500, PV, T500 or a direct DC input. It stops the AC500 from functioning as it’s dead. What can I do about this one?
Hi @GregP, Thank you for your update. We have indeed received your email. I have shared all the information regarding this case with our email support team.
When the B300S is running low on power, please disconnect it from the AC500 and charge the B300S separately. Does this help? If AC charging is ineffective, please try charging via PV. Ensure that the open-circuit voltage of the solar panel connected to the B300S is between 12-60V.
Our email support team will also follow up on this matter.
@BLUETTI_CARE, I’ll try again with the solar, it’s your PV350 so levels are good. It’s not very sunny here!
I am totally discharging the B300Ss last night/today so will attempt to charge again with the new firmware updates. Will let you know tomorrow.
Hi @GregP, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
I appreciate your kind understanding and patience. We expect your test result.
Please feel free to contact us if you need our help.
@BLUETTI_CARE It looks like the 3xB300S are now working correctly with no alarms and charging enabled after you pushed the firmware upgrades. This is from fully discharged. However, the AC500 is only charging at 1.2KW instead of 2.2KW it was pushing out previously, before any upgrades. This with grid input current set to 10 or 13A, grid adaption on or off, standard UPS mode. The same is happening with my other AC500 with one B300K. This is too slow and the UPS will loose charge if the load is above 1.2KW and would flatten quite quickly if the load is 3-4KW, defeating the point of a UPS. There was no load on the UPSs.
As for the last B300S, it was charged yesterday standalone on PV but is as dead as it ever was, the green power light flashes when there is PV power available but no charging lights are on. When connected to the AC500 with the B300K the capacity goes to zero on the AC500, it ignores the B300K, and the AC500 and B300S power lights flash.
Hi @GregP, We would like to know what the device’s SOC is when the charging power decreases. Please note that when the SOC approaches 90%, it will enter trickle charging mode, during which the charging power will be limited. This is a protective mechanism to prevent overcharging and damage.
Additionally, the ambient temperature can also affect charging speed. Could you please let us know the specific temperature? If the internal battery temperature is too high, please power off the device and wait for 3 hours before using it again.
Regarding the flashing power light on the B300S, could you please record a video? This will help us determine the cause based on the flashing frequency.
@BLUETTI_CARE, it was at 0 to 40% for 1.2KW, then up to 95% for 1.6-1.7KW. This was at about 11degC. Yes, I know about the protection at low temperatures but it wasn’t a low temperature.
Hi @GregP, Thank you for providing the temperature information, 11 degrees Celsius is indeed not considered low temperature.
The video you provided is somewhat incomplete. From the footage, it appears that the B300S blinked 7 times. Could you please confirm this? We will then proceed with further investigation.
@BLUETTI_CARE, as I stated previously, it just keeps flashing like that when PV power is applied. No PV power present, no flashing.
Hi @GregP, Upon reviewing the video again, we noticed that the B300S battery’s charge level is at 0%, is that correct?
Therefore, we believe that this B300S has been over-discharged. Please disconnect it from the AC500 and charge the B300S separately.
If you are using solar panels to charge the B300S, please ensure that the total open-circuit voltage of the solar panels is between 12-60V. It is recommended to charge it for a while longer and confirm that it is fully charged before reconnecting it to the AC500.
@BLUETTI_CARE Yes, I’ve done all that multiple times. It’s obvious the B300S is faulty, after the upgrade for whatever reason. Just admit it is and repair or exchange the thing. You’ve cost my company over a £1000 by getting us to do heavily labour intensive tasks and repeating the testing we have already done. You’re now asking me to repeat that again. We’re just going round in circles with your stalling.
Start acting like a competent support system, although I only get one message from you a day!!!
Hi @GregP, We have been diligently investigating the issue.
We have noticed that Aurora is already assisting you with the warranty process. Please follow the instructions in her email to confirm the information and proceed with the next steps of the service.
Just as an update on my progress after 24 days since the issues were reported to Bluetti:
'The courier did not arrive Friday, as promised. When you get around to booking it again can you send us a copy of the confirmation from the courier as proof it has been booked.
Bluetti have consistently let our company down, and not failed to disappoint. It has now been 24 days since I first raised this service call and you haven’t even managed to pick up the B300S yet. Very amateur.
We won’t be buying Bluetti equipment again due to the disastrous service. I’ll be posting this on the forum.’
Has anyone else had problems with Bluetti service? They manage a message a day from the service centre!
Day 26, they’ve picked it up!
@BLUETTI_CARE It’s been 2months today since raising this call, I still don’t know when I’m getting a replacement. There is no urgency with your customer support. You should rename it @BLUETTI_NOCARE. The last email I received from ebayservice_uk@bluetti.com was 2/4/25. Your customer support is a joke and open to ridicule at its ineptitude. Who owns this issue? I need to talk to whoever it is. I need the contact details of a UK representative to escalate this to as the Chinese support is so poor.
Hi @GregP, We highly value your feedback and have conducted an internal investigation regarding this matter.
There have been some recent personnel changes in the eBay department, which caused delays in email responses. We’ve already reported this to the eBay sales manager, who will personally reach out to you—this should be completed within the next 24 hours.
In the meantime, we will also apply for your case to be prioritized. Please keep an eye on your inbox tomorrow for the follow-up email.
By the way, please note that if you need my assistance, please @BLUETTI_CARE, otherwise, I might not see your message and be able to help you promptly.
