Unfortunately, I believe that we have never had such a case on the forum, this will require an opinion from @BLUETTI or @BLUETTI_CARE. I’m afraid it’s a hardware problem.
You can possibly look in the hidden menu if there is anything abnormal.
(tap on “Data”, then “BMS” - then tap on the top left corner quickly 5 times with a beep)
A Bluetti dealer in Sa suggested that the lock icon may mean it needs a pin. Says sometimes they are locked to avoid theft ? @BLUETTI or @BLUETTI_CARE might be able to kindly confirm if this is correct.
I also so there is a menu item called PAYGO with its setting at “Activation” I’m not sure if this has any bearing on the problem also. It had a date and time counter above it all set to zero
Another new thing I’m discovering about the AC200max. I hope this is the explanation (it seems credible), so that you can quickly use your brand new AC200max! @BLUETTI and @BLUETTI_CARE, we need you!
About “paygo” I found a press article from 2017 explaining the paygo principle.
In order to overcome this problem, a new business model coupled with new technologies is emerging: Pay-As-You-Go. Based on the rent-to-own business model, where the end customer rents the system for a fixed period until it becomes theirs, PayGo uses a payment system via telephone operators which also makes it possible to cut the remote service in the event of payment default.
Indeed, where the rent-to-own model presented limits because the collection of payments or the removal of solar systems in these remote areas was very complicated (no local agency, difficult to access, absent customers, etc. …), PayGo allows you to make significant savings. In addition, it is very easy to use for the end customer who is used to recharging their phone because the telephone networks are very well developed and established in these countries.
I wonder if you didn’t “purchase” a pack of equipment intended to be rented… is it indiscreet to know how much you paid for it?
The price paid is a little cheaper (but not much) than what we find in Europe (I live in Europe) but our VAT is higher than SA.
I think out loud:
If it is a machine intended for rental, but which has ultimately been regularly/legally referred for new sale, then it is up to your seller to provide you with the unlocking codes allowing you to take full possession of it.
On the other hand, if it is a machine intended for rental, which belongs to the person who bought them to rent them (Solaris Offgrid? Bluetti? Paygo?) and not intended for sale, then the one who sold it to you at this price may not have the right to do so. If you don’t trust your seller, I think you should check with Solaris Offgrid? BLuetti? Paygo?
Success , unfortunately missed @BLUETTI message but logically back tracked to the vendor.
They did say they are locked for security/theft issues. After supplying my order number, invoice number and serial number they came back with a code which I entered into the Paygo section of settings. Job done the unit is now powering up.
Thanks very much for the input. Always good to push a challenge around the table with others !
Hi, I have the same issue, just received it from Makro. I really wish this information to be passed on via message to customer. Now, I have to waste my time to get the Makro team to understand my dilemma.
Hi , I had bought mine through takelot and was able to see the vendor to takelot and I contacted them directly. they were able to verify it was one of theirs through the serial number. In a few short minutes the came back with an unlock code. I went to the “paygo” menu and entered the code which unlocked the unit for continuous use.
if they can give you their supplier then you might be able to contact them directly for an unlock code
I don’t think you will be able to get a work around with out having to go back to the supplier/vendor of the unit. it will need someone fairly technical to understand what you require.
It seems that you need to contact your seller for an unlock code. If they can’t or don’t want to supply it, arrange a return/refund from your seller for non-conformity.
Unless you rented the unit or have a pre-paid system. Then you may need to make a payment to use solar power. (Pay-as-you-go)
