My device is offline in app (version 2.3.9) since several days

Hi Bluetti,

my EP500Pro is shown as offline in app (version 2.3.9) since several days.

When I tap to my device, a popup is displayed:

When I connect via Bluetooth everything looks fine:

Please fix this issue.

Common issues turn wifi off an on in the unit it will work again

It seems to me, that this is an IPv4/IPv6 problem. When I activate IPv6 (incl. local DNSv6-Server) in my internet router and then connect my Smart-Phone via WIFI with my router, the Bluetti app can retrieve data for my device.

When using a cellular connection (LTE+, Deutsche Telekom), the app cannot retrieve data for my device, regardless of whether I have set my provider’s IPv4 APN (internet.t-d1.de) or IPv6 APN (internet.v6.telekom). :frowning:

Maybe it is “only” a geo-block problem with the German Telekom? The Bluetti server for communication uses IP addresses in China.
If I activate the country restriction on my router and exclude China, the Bluetti communication no longer works for me either …

Thanks for that hint. I’ve tried a VPN client on my phone, and that works, if I choose USA as location. Other locations I’ve tried so far: “Device is offline” in Bluetti app.

Am I the only one with these problem? :face_with_head_bandage:

There is one thing about this issue, that may be even more funny. I had this same issue with the Bluetti App, but all devices are shown as offline. I installed the Bluetti App on a second device and everything shows online.

I delete the App cache and data on Android, sign in again, and still everything offline.

I completly remove the App from my Phone and reinstall it, seems to work just fine now.
Just in case anyone have a similar experience recently.

greetings
Erik

Hi Erik,

I’ve just tried Your solution and removed and reinstalled the app, but it does not work for me.Then, after enabling the VPN, the app shows my device as online again.

Hi @SteCol, We attempted to remotely log into your EP500Pro and found no issues.
We consider the problem may be related to your phone’s network status or signal.
Could you please check again? I hope it does help.

I have no geo blocking active and WLan problems since more than a half year, support can fix it for a few days, then it will happen again.
Connecting outside my WLan isn´t possible anymore, I have more and more problems with every update… :frowning:

Last big error is described here: BT Offline

luckily I was at home when the blackout has happened, Router offline, WLan offline, Shellys not working, HomeAssistant offline, takes some hours to fix the problem. (manually routing for grid charging)
The EP500pro is a great device, but the App and control is worse the more I use it, Anker and EcoFlow are way better with the App, they can control WLan Outlets when neccessary. Why not Bluetti???

Just a little response from my side, Last days, I updated the EP500Pro device and also the App to the last official Soft and Firmware- version.

Result, the same problems since the App update with the advertisings (which works perfect alltime)

But at the same time, my HomeAssistant on a RasPi 5 is connected to the EP500Pro with no problems

So, don´t know, where the problem is, but until I got the App update with the advertisings in the homescreen, I lost the WLan connection several times and sometimes permanent for days/weeks, so I can´t control the EP500pro.
Great system, when you´re outside or in holiday and you can´t control the battery load of the device and you will have no chance to make an emergency load via Shelly App from outside the house!

When will You fix the Connection problems or give me an workaround to give me full control to the Powerstation?
